Winx: the Story Goes On

Chapter 31

My eyes snap open. I lay on a hospital bed, which is protected by an outside barrier. Rena lays on the other bed, being severely weakened. Since I'm back to full energy, I can help her. "Magic orb, heal her!" I state.

As sparkles surround her, she is healed instantly. "Aqua...?" She chokes out, as my eyes widen. "Is everything okay?" I nod, before giving her a big hug.

"You almost died..." I admit, staring at the ground. That's when electricity fills the sky outside. "We need to get out there," Rena states, as I realize that I'm no longer transformed.

"Alright! Magic Winx: Charmix!" I say, as a wonderful feeling comes over me. I smile, as I transform.

I look over at Rena, as a powerful wind surrounds her. I guess her transformation takes longer than I thought. Within seconds, she was transformed.

I exchange a look with Rena. "Let's beat those Trixs!" She declares, as I teleport us outside. That's when I spot the Winx casting a powerful convergence spell. "It looks like it will be out of control," Rena notes, as I spot a pixie. She gasps when the spell backfires, sending them backwards.

That's the pixie of Cloud Tower, isn't it? "Rena, we have to protect the codex," I say urgently. Rena teleports us behind them, before looking at the pixie. She smiles upon seeing us.

"Hey, Trixs!" Rena calls. "What the hell do you think you're doing!?" They gasp in shock, before smirks form on their faces. Over a short period of time, their powers have drastically increased.

"Stormy, you handle them," Icy says, as I shoot her a glare. Icy turns around, glancing at the other Winx. "Tornado!" Stormy yells, as I exchange a look with Rena.

"Cancel," I say, as she groans angrily. "Rena, I believe that you can handle her." Rena nods, as I charge at Icy and Darcy, hoping to be strong enough to fight them. A gasp escapes my lips, as they approach the top of Cloud Tower.

If they get the codex, then what will happen? "Ugh, looks like Stormy forgot one," Darcy complains. She arches a brow, beckoning for Icy to continue on.

"Not a chance!" I shout, firing a large beam of water at them. That sends them towards the bottom of Cloud Tower, as gasps escape their lips. In a second, Stormy falls alongside them.

"Good job, Aqua!" Rena cheers, nodding in my direction. "Now, let's protect the codex." I glance at her, as an uneasy feeling forms in the pit of my stomach.

"What should we do about the codex?" I ask the pixie. She furrows her eyebrows in concentration. "I think—" She starts, before gasping in horror. I turn around, as the Trixs charge at us.

"Water shield!" I state, as Stormy fires electricity at the shield. Her electricity seems to increase in strength, as I struggle against her spell. If anything, I have to protect Cloud Tower, the pixie, and the codex.

"Center of the wind!" Rena calls, as spells from all directions race towards the Trixs. Icy creates a shield and blocks the attacks coming from all directions. "I don't know how much longer I can hold out this shield..." I admit, as worry creases Rena's forehead.

The shield continues to weaken, as I struggle to press forward. There's little I can do. "Aqua, you're the fairy of the water stars," Rena states. "Don't give up."

I nod, knowing that she's correct. Before we could do anything, thick ice surrounds us. I try to melt it, but to my own surprise, that fails. That's when Darcy knocks the pixie unconscious, and they take the codex.
