Chapter 9

[Lucy's P.O.V]
I want Natsu...

I'm begging them.

I need him.

Where is he?

What happened again?

Does it matter...

"Lucy, can you hear me?"

I turn to see Dr. Lobster.

I tear up, "Michelle..."

She smiles at me and sits in the chair next to me.

"Looks like your disease is getting worse Onee Chan."

I look away crying, I'm not ready, not yet.

"I can't do it Michelle, I just can't."

"Natsu would want you to be happy not suffer because of him."

She's right.

I don't want to admit it but she's right.

There's a knock on the door.

Gray.

He hurries next to me.

"Are you alright? You're not hurt are you?"

I shook my head a bit and he gave me a hug.

"Did you fall down the stairs or something?"

I stayed quiet for a moment and nod. He sighs and looks at me with a smile.

"I'm just glad you're alright."

I blush a bit, Gray is so kind...

Michelle clears her throat making us both turn.

"I'm sorry but visiting isn't the best thing for Lucy right now."

Gray gets up but I sit up and grab his arm, he looks at me. I look him in the eyes.

"I want to see Natsu."

"Absolutely not," Michelle denies.

I tsk and begin to beg Michelle for me to see him.

"Hey."

I turn looking at Gray.

"You'll see him soon enough," he says giving me a wink and leaving the room.

I exhale angrily and slam my body onto my bed pulling my covers over me.

"Now Lucy, don't be childish."

I felt her tug on the blanket but I kept it in place. She sighs and says she'll be back and leaves the room. I remove the covers and sit up.

Haven't been here in a while.

[Flashback]
"MAMAA! MAMA! I'M SCARED!"

"Shh, shh."

Lucy's mother was trying her hardest to calm a young Lucy down. Lucy was screaming begging to bring Natsu here but Layla denied. She knew what her daughter had because she had the same thing when she was her age.

She even tried to end her own life but then her husband showed up, she fell madly in love with him getting rid of the disease and being with him.

Natsu being there would make it worse. Lucy won't want to leave his side or have him out of her sight. Layla also knew Natsu recently got a girlfriend so that'd make things complicated.

"Honey, if Natsu comes, he'll know about the disease. Do you want him to know about it?"

Lucy immediately calmed down still crying shaking her head.
