Chapter 11

"Lucy..."

I gasp and look over at Natsu. I notice my hand on his cheek and his hand over it.

"Don't cry, Lucy."

I blink and wipe my eyes quickly. I didn't realize...

"Geez, so sensitive Luce."

I look away embarrassed and close the book. Instead of giving it to Lisanna I place it under my pillow to read later.

"I got you guys some food."

Lisanna was the first to react and gives Natsu a kiss on the cheek as a 'thank you'.

I look away sadly and begin to lie down again.

"Lucy, aren't you gonna eat?"

I freeze with the covers almost over me, "I'm surprised you bought me food..."

"Of course I did, why wouldn't I?"

I flinch at his question...

Why wouldn't he? He's right...he is still my best friend right?

I sit up again and look over at a lovey Natsu and Lisanna. I immediately look away which catches Natsu's attention.

"What's the matter?"

I quickly get off the bed but fall to my knees. I hear someone jump to help me. I see pale hands on my arms and pull away not wanting Lisanna to help a girl who's forced to hate her.

I stand up and walk towards the bookshelf for a distraction.

I read my options. Some of the same books from all those years are still here but there are new names.

"Lucy, come and eat."

"I'm not-"

"I said come and eat!"

I look at Natsu shocked, he was looking at the food. I clench my fists and head into the bathroom.

"...why'd you yell?"

I hear Lisanna ask quietly.

"It's nothing, I'm just not in a very good mood right now..."

"Well Lucy's going through some things and yelling at her isn't what she needs now is it?"

I then hear a door open then close. I slowly open the bathroom door and Natsu turns to face me.

"I-"

I run into him causing him to sit on the bed.

"W-What's wrong?"

I tightened my grip and he relaxed more.

"I just wanted to give you a hug." I finally say.

He laughs and hugs me back then pulls me onto the bed.

"Oddly enough you're really comfy Lucy."

I sweatdrop, "Thanks."

I feel Natsu's face go deeper into my chest. I turn red.

"N-N-Natsu! T-That's my-um."

Natsu smirks, "Lucy...you've grown."

I hit his head, "
Pervert."

He laughs and I giggle a bit. Natsu and I have such an odd friendship.

"Natsu..."

"Hm?"

"...how are you in here...if you're not allowed to..."

I look down at a smirking Natsu, "I snuck in."
