Me and Sal attempted to avoid them but it was a lot harder as soon as Joe noticed us. Bessy and Joe was in the restaurant with their children. Me and Sal were attempting to not look, but it was one of those situations where you can't help but look. Sal kept trying not to look by talking to my parents, but then my dad realised.
"Wait isn't this Joe?" My dad asked pointing. "He's my favourite!" My dad exclaimed.
"I like Murr" My mum said. I looked up to Sal's eyes and tugged onto Sal's arm.
"Well Sal's my favourite" I said with him placing a soft kiss between my lips. My dad went over to Joe for a picture and Sal insisted it was okay but I know he felt differently, then Joe came over to meet my mum.
"Hey guys" Joe said as he walked over, making no eye contact with Sal.
"Hello Joe" my mum replied.
"Hey, babe, he will be gone soon" I whispered to Sal.
"I'm just gonna go to the men's room" Sal said, leaving the table. Joe made a sigh of disappointment.
"You two okay?" My dad asked, wondering why Sal ignored him.
"You know they see each other all the time, they are probably fed up!" I said to my parents to cover up the argument.
"Anyway I'll leave you too it, but Katy can I have a word??" Joe asked. I got up from the table and walked to then corner near the bathrooms with Joe.
"Look, I am sorry" Joe began. "How could I bet Sal,to forgive me?" Joe asked. As soon as he asked the men's bathroom door flew open. It was Sal. He saw me and Joe talking. Sal came round and put his arm around me.
"You okay?" Sal asked me. I nodded to Sal.
"Look Sal, can we put this behind us??" Joe asked Sal.
