The next morning I woke up in Sal's warm arms. His chin rested on the top of my head. I got woken up by my phone ringing. I tapped around the bedside table searching for my phone. I picked it up and saw it was my mum. I cleared my phone and said
"Hello??" I said in a very tired voice.
"Hey Katy! Me and your dad will be over in an hour!" She said.
"Oh okay" I whispered, trying not to wake Sal up.
My mum then hung up, as I threw my phone on the bedside table. I gripped onto Sal's hand and slowly drifted back off to sleep. I always thought it was strange how Sal loves to have space when he sleeps but with me he would grab hold of me and keep me in his arms all night. I loved it!

An hour later we both woke up from the sound of the front door knocking. I jumped out of bed and looked out the window and saw my parents.
"I totally forgot! Sal get dressed my parents are here!" I said. I ran downstairs and opened the door, even though I was stood there in my pyjamas.
"Hey mum and dad" I said giving them a hug. Behind me stood Sal, in his 'cling clang' shirt and jeans. He gave my mum a welcoming hug and shook my dads hand. Sal got there bags from the car as I shown my parents the way to the living room. They both sat on the sofa, followed by me and Sal on the sofa opposite, holding hands.
"It's lovely to see you Katy. And your new house" my mum began.
"Well Sal's house" I said.
"Ours" Sal interrupted, covering my hand with his and smiled at me.
"So how's the show doing?" My dad asked. I felt the awkwardness from Sal and he gave me a certain look which read 'how do I get myself out of this' look.
"Well... pretty good I suppose" he lied.
"How's your friends?" My mum asked. The questions were becoming more awkward as they went on.
"Murr is great" Sal said, clearly leaving the other jokers out.
"Talking of friends, I'm meeting up with Emma soon to meet her new boyfriend" I said to my parents to change the subject. Emma has been my best friend since I could remember, and my parents knew her like a daughter. We were inseparable.
"How is she now?" They asked.
"She's great. Good job and seems happy with this guy" I said. We all talked for a while.
"How about we all go out for dinner later?" Sal suggested. "8pm?" He added.
"Yes please!" My parents said.
