Sal opened up the box and admired the diamond ring inside.
"Do you think she will like it?" Sal asked Claire.
"I think she will love it!" Claire replied.
"I have to ask her parents first, then tell the guys... then ask Katy. But what if she says no?" He asked Claire, beginning to think of the worst scenario.
"She won't. She loved you and you love her. You two were perfect for each other!" Claire reassured him. Sal placed the ring in his pocket and walked back into Murr's room and took a seat by me.
"Hey" I said.
"Hey Katy" he replied.
"Where's the coffee?" Murr asked.
"Uhh... the machine has broke" Sal lied.
The doctor walked into the room with a clipboard.
"I'm afraid visiting hours are over" she told us. So me and Sal said goodbye to Murr and went home.
It was 3am by the time we got back. We both slipped into our pajamas and I went into the bathroom to clean my teeth.
Sal's POV
I reached into my pocket and pulled out the ring. I had to hide it somewhere she wouldn't expect it to be. I hid it in my grey hoodie pocket in my wardrobe. She came out of the bathroom and I jumped into bed. She crawled into bed with me. I wrapped my hands around her as we both drifted off to sleep.
