Today was the actual day I was going to tell Ashton. Since he shouted at us the other week, I hadn't seen him since, the whole school had been preparing for our graduation in the next couple of weeks. I was 5 weeks along now and I was just starting to show. I was nervous if people were going to realise that I was pregnant, I was over thinking the whole thing and I shouldn't stress about it. Graduation was right around the corner and I was excited to leave and have my little boy or girl. I had already thought positively about the end result, me and Sam went shopping and spoke loads about names. I was going to have a child, at eighteen and I couldn't be happier.
"Ash!" I shouted to the boy in the black hoodie. I had decided to ride the bus to school as that was the only way I could see him. We didn't share classes, this was the only time of the day besides break that I would see him. Hopefully, this goes well.
"Hi." He says bluntly. I jolt back slightly in shock. "What do you want?" he asks.
"We need to talk." He raises his brows.
"Why the fuck would I want to talk to you, you're an ignorant rich bitch, I can't believe I ever thought that we would work, this whole thing was a mistake, Mercury, I don't love you anymore. Everything is about you, you, you and more you and I can't fucking take that anymore, I took so much shit from you and your family. Your mum, especially, and YOU! I hate you Mercury I can't stand you, just get in your brothers new Audi and FUCK OFF!" He ranted. I was humiliated and upset. Tears sprinted down my face. I turned around. He doesn't deserve to know, the baby doesn't deserve this, he's a monster, not the giggly Ashton we all know and love. I am disgusted with him, I don't want him knowing about the baby. I give up.
"Mercury." Someone calls. It was Luke. He sat in his car. "Get in." He says. He gives Ashton a dirty look. I hop into the other side of his car and he jumps out and grabs Ashton by the neck and I don't even stop him. I won't be surprised if Luke ends up punching him. Luke will defend me even after I die. It's always been that way. I rolled down the window so I could hear what Luke was saying. The tears that were rolling down my cheeks had slowed and slightly dried. I was so positive that Ashton was the love of my life, now, I wasn't so sure.
"What the fuck man!" Ashton shouts.
"Don't fucking treat my family like that!" He shouts, then punches him continually.
He leaves after a few punches and blood was on Luke's knuckles. What a way to start the morning. Ashton got up and looked at me with anger in his eyes, but before I could say anything, Luke had gotten back in the car and we had driven away.
"No one treats my family like that but doesn't cry over that prick, the baby doesn't need that in his or her life." I nodded although he couldn't really look at me. He leant back in his seat and his knuckles went white while some blood still was splattered on them.
"I love you, Mercury." He started. I know he does. "Sorry, you had to see that, I couldn't keep it in any longer." I nod although he couldn't see me.
He drove into the school gates and all eyes were on the car, and we all knew why. Luke parked the car and we got out. Luke's knuckles were still covered in his or Ashton's blood. We walk in like we own the school. Luke knew that everyone respected us, through money and just through who we are. I often hated the fact that we had authority and control over people the way that we do. We're lucky to be from such a wealthy family but I guess everything has its flaws.
"Luke, what happened?" Linda asks worryingly, holding his knuckles. Just as she finishes her sentence Ashton walks down holding his nose. His nose was bleeding his eyebrow was cut, he had a black eye already and I couldn't help him. Seeing him like that made me ache. Luke and Ashton didn't lose eye contact. Luke was angry in what he said, he was angry that he didn't listen to me, listen to something that will change his life. I was angry but I'm sure it will all blow over soon. Hopefully.
This is probably the shortest chapter I've written. A lot of violence is in this and the next chapter so I really apologise. It's nearly over guys!! Two more chapters and then book #2. I've already started and will be up ASAP!!!!!! I love you so much, guys!! Ruby xxxx
