Chapter 3

The ride there was quiet. The radio was just quiet enough to be a hum and you could barely hear Alex's snores.

"We are here" he said quietly. I nodded and stepped out of the car. His house was gorgeous. It was 2 stories and it looked like a show home.

"I'm gonna take him inside and put him to bed, you can just sit on the couch and wait for me there."

I nodded and followed him to the porch. He unlocked the door and quietly opened it.

Mr.Way shook his head and moved up the stairs to put Alex to bed. I sat down on the couch waiting for him to come back.

I must have fallen asleep before he made it down stairs because the next thing I remember is waking up to Mr.Way on the phone.

"Yeah, I know I shouldn't have but what the hell can I do" he said pacing around the living room in front of me.

"Yes, but I have had him in my class for a good 2 years. Why would he all of a sudden start making a move now?"

I took that time to roll over and act like I was waking up then. "Hey, Mikey I will call you back in an hour or so" he hung up the call and put his phone in his pocket.

"Good morning Frankie" he .

"Morning Ge- MORNING" I jumped off the couch and was ready to run out of the door before he stopped me.

"Where are you going? It's 4 in the morning." He said chuckling.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked him.

"Your mom texted...."

"Get to the point Gee"

"Fine. She doesnt want you coming home until you learn to grow up."

My eyes went wide. "I am grown up. What is she talking about!" I yelled grabbing my phone. "Frankie please calm down"

"Calm down? How the hell can I calm down? I don't have anywhere to stay, no one in school knows me, and all I am to the people who do know me is an emo fag. The boy who likes boys. How does she expect me to grow up. If anything she needs to grow up. Treating me like this."

"Frankie please sit and calm down. You are going to wake Alex up and he has school in a few hours. Please don't wake him up."

"Sorry Gee"

"Its fine. How about this. We go to school and you spend the entire day with me. You can rant on my free period and we can get to know eachother better."

"Yes, I would love that Mr.Way"

"That is Gee to you"

"Yes Gee"

He smiled and stood up from the couch. "You can go back to sleep.  It's 4 in the morning. I'll wake you up when it's time to get ready."

I sat back down on the couch and realized I had a pillow and blanket now.

I smiled and covered back up. I opened my phone and it opened straight to my mom's message. I should really lock my phone, he could have gone through my entire phone.

Sorry Frankie. I love you, I really do, but I don't want you to come back until you have grown to be responsible. I was just informed you were gay. Either grow responsible or return home straight. You are 18 so you don't have to come back. You can be responsible and get your own apartment or stay at a friend's house, but until then.... I'll see you later Frankie.
