[A/N] I've decided to start the second part of the series since the last chapter seemed like a good ending.
It had been a few months since I had married Tyler. In those few weeks I had trained with Tyler in combat. The reason the hunters always had the edge was their fighting ability. I slipped on jeans and a black tank top pulling my hair into a ponytail.
"Babe if we are going to get back into the hunters' ranks we need a plan," Tyler called from the living room.
"I was thinking we should talk to Blake about a solution. The best way to enter the hunters' ranks would be to kill a vampire but I don't want to hurt someone innocent," I said stepping into the living room.
"He might have a vampire who wants to end their eternal life in a beneficial way," Tyler said as I grabbed my white cropped leather jacket.
"That was my thinking," I said firmly. I dialed Blake's number quickly.
"Ashley what's up?" Blake asked knowing I don't call him for casual conversation.
"I want to get the hunters to trust me but to do that I need to kill a vampire," I said trailing off.
"I have a guy who has been looking to pick a fight with a hunter for a while now," Blake said to me.
"I'll bring him in as a gift to the hunters and offer to eliminate him. He won't have a lot of information correct?" I muttered.
"Yes I'll bring him to a place of your choosing so you can take him to them," Blake said as I looked at Tyler.
"Great meet at the park by your house," I said quickly.
"Be there in few," Blake said hanging up.
"We are meeting him at the park right now. Bring gear just in case," I said as Tyler grabbed a cross before tossing me Holy water.
"Let's take the truck," he said as we walked out of the apartment. I climbed in the passenger seat buckling myself in. Tyler sped down the street toward the park.
"Stay in the truck," I told him climbing out. I needed this to go smoothly and keeping a former hunter away from the discussion was the best way to do that. I gripped the bottle of Holy water as I strode toward Blake and his friend.
"This is the girl I was telling you about," Blake said pointing toward me.
"She used to be a vampire," he said with shock on his face.
"Yes and now I'm taking the fight to the hunters. The hunters almost took everything from me all because I was a vampire," I said firmly.
"I like her," he told Blake as I smiled at him. "I'm not afraid to die so take me to them." He said as I led him to the truck.
"I'm afraid I'm going to have to inject you to make it believable," I whispered as he nodded. I lay him in the back of the truck before I injected him with the Holy water. I ran to the passenger side climbing in. I dialed my mother's number while Tyler started toward one of the hunter bases.
"Hello," she said tightly.
"Mom I have a vampire for you," I said softly. "You were right about vampires I just didn't want to believe you but I have seen first hand the damage they can do."
"Tyler reactivated the gps tracker on the truck I see. We will have a team waiting in the garage," she said hanging up. A smirk played across my lips at how easily she bought into the lie. Tyler drove into the parking garage turning the truck off.
"Do we stay in the truck or get out?" I asked unsure what the protocol states.
"Get out," he said as we opened our doors. I walked to the back of the truck dropping the tailgate.
"You brought us a live one?" My mother gasped as I faced her.
"Yeah. I flirted with him until Tyler could inject him," I said with a grin. "I figured you would want to see what information he can give us."
"I'm not complaining I was just surprised at the genius of your method," she said as the other hunters started dragging him down a hallway toward the holding cells.
"Babe," Tyler said as I turned toward him. "I gotta run are you cool here?"
"Yeah I'm good," I said looking at him in confusion. What could he possibly need to do right now? I walked over to the driver side. I leaned in the window pressing my lips to his gently. "Can you come back to pick me up later?"
"Ashley, I can take you home sweetie," my mom said as I turned back to Tyler.
"Guess I'll see you at home then," I said as he backed out of the garage. I walked over to my mother as she draped her arm around me.
"Glad you came around," she smiled as we headed into the building.
"Me too," I said as I thought of how to explain the sudden change. "I was thinking about the future and I wouldn't want my children growing up in a world plagued by vampires."
"Are you pregnant?" She asked as I laughed.
"No but I do want kids someday," I said as she led me into the room where the vampire was currently strapped down.
"Once we finish interrogating him we want you to finish him," my mother said as I nodded leaning against the wall. The interrogation went on for hours and while I felt bad for him I couldn't show anything other than a bored look. My mother watched me closely while the other hunters burned my vampire acquaintance. He started pleading for mercy but I just rolled my eyes showing my mother exactly what she wanted to see. "Enough he obviously knows nothing." She handed me a stake as I smiled at her. I took two fast steps toward the vampire before plunging the wood into his chest. He combusted into a pile of dust in the chair. I could tell from the faces in the room that they trusted me now and that I would soon have a place in their ranks. "Let's go talk about your future."
