We arrived back at the apartment as Blake tossed the stuffed bear onto the bed. He faced me his lips touching mine hungrily before he checked his phone.

"I have to go but I'll be back soon," Blake smiled as I sighed.

"Do you have to?" I whined as he nodded.

"I promise I'll be back as fast as possible," Blake vowed before rushing from the apartment. I sat on the edge of the bed looking at my phone. I stared at the picture of Tyler gazing into my eyes with nothing but love in his eyes. I found myself drifting into the memories of Tyler.

I stood in the busy hallways of my high school digging through my messy locker. I grabbed my textbook for my next class out before I sprinted down the hallway. I ran so quickly I bumped into a guy sending my books flying. I looked up at the man to apologize but his gaze stopped the words from slipping past my lips. I stared into his green eyes my breath hitching.

"I'm sorry," he said snapping me out of my staring.

"No it's my fault," I said firmly a blush spreading across my cheeks.

"I'm Tyler," he grinned as I grabbed my book off the ground.

"I'm Ashley," I said softly.

"Can I walk you to class?" He asked running his hands through his dark hair.

"I'd like that," I said as he followed me to my class.

"Hey I was wondering if you might want to go out with me sometime?" Tyler asked as a smile played at my lips.

"Sure," I said grabbing his cellphone from his hand. I typed in my number handing it back to him. "I will be waiting for your call."

"You won't have to wait long," he said as we stood inches apart. His hand touched my arm sending electricity rushing through my body. My lips parted slightly as my heart fluttered. Tyler sent me a final smile before walking away to go to his class. I took a breath entering the classroom though I could only think about Tyler the rest of the day.

I reached my house at the end of the day just as my phone rang.

"Hello," I said tossing my backpack onto the floor by the front door.

"Hey Ash, its Tyler," he said as I grinned.

"I'm glad you called," I said flopping onto the white living room couch.

"Are you busy right now?" He asked me.

"No I just got home," I said.

"I have tickets to the football game tonight and was wondering if you would go with me," Tyler said as I sat up.

"I would love that. I haven't been to a game in so long," I muttered.

"Text me your address and I'll pick you up," Tyler said as I grinned.

"Can't wait," I hung up before texting him my address. I scrambled off the couch and up to my room. I grabbed a leather jacket out of my closet pulling the jacket over my blue floral dress. I raced back down the stairs waiting for Tyler to show up. I smiled as a truck pulled into my driveway. I opened the door as he hopped out of the truck.

"Wow you look amazing," Tyler said as I wrapped him in a hug.

"Thanks but why are you wearing a jersey?" I asked as he looked at me.

"I'm playing I just wanted you to watch me play," he said as my eyes widened.

"That's cool," I said as he opened the passenger side door. I climbed in slightly disappointed that I wouldn't get as much time with him as I would like.

"I am so glad you still wanted to come," Tyler said as I looked over at him.

"Well you are taking me to dinner after to make it up to me," I teased as he laughed. He parked the car leading me to the stands. I sat right in the front row as he sprinted over to his coach. I watched him practice until the game started. The stands filled up quickly. There wasn't any free space left in the stands. The cold evening air nipped at my cheeks. I sat on the edge of the hard metal seat as Tyler looked for a receiver to throw the ball to. I grinned as he tossed the ball to his teammate. I jumped up as they scored a touchdown. The game passed by rapidly and our team was ahead by two touchdowns in the last quarter. Tyler stepped into the pocket as his eyes looked for any receivers. My eyes widened as one of the guys from the other team rushed toward him. He hit the ground hard. The crowd fell silent as they waited for him to get up. My heart dropped, he wasn't moving. I climbed over the fence scrambling over to him along with the coach. Tears spilled down my cheeks as my blue eyes stared at him.

"Are you his girlfriend?" One of his teammates asked. I couldn't speak so I nodded. I breathed a sigh of relief as Tyler sat up slowly. The coach helped him to his feet. I draped his other arm over my shoulder supporting his remaining weight. We walked him back over to the bench helping him sit down.

"I'm sorry I ruined our date," he muttered as I sat next to him.

"Tyler, you didn't ruin anything and besides you can make it up to me later," I teased him. I pressed my lips to his gently as fire rushed through me sending my heart racing. I melted against Tyler's lips as the electricity crackled across my skin.

"You are something else," Tyler smiled caressing my cheek. "Beautiful smart kind. You have everything I could ever want in a girlfriend." His words took my breath away as my lips parted slightly. I managed to find my voice a minute later.

"Why thank you," I said a blush spreading across my face. I found myself getting lost in his emerald gaze as he draped his arm around me.

I felt a smile on my lips at the memory. My heart cracked as I remembered the betrayal. He left me but the worst part was he let me think he died.
