Michael awoke the following morning to warmth, something wrapped around him. When he pried his eyes open, he found himself pressed into the adult Masonin's chest. Again, Michael's face flushed and he pulled back from the giant being. "W-We must've both fallen asleep by accident last night." He whispered to himself. "E-Embarrassing."

"My father would never like you." Donnie's deep voice mumbled nearby, the younger being drinking water from a leather pouch.

"I never said anything about liking him either." Michael retorted, walking over to the horses and picking up his own canteen, taking a long gulp of cool water which soothed his dry throat.

"No, but it's clear by the looks you get when he gets that close to you. You like a man, it's wrong. It's not natural. Besides, you're a human. That makes it even worse." Donnie's voice had a venom in it, and his green eyes glared at Michael from behind his bangs.

"I..." Michael trailed off, furrowing his brows in thought. Did he like Heath that way? In the human race, there was nothing wrong with it. Maybe Masonin's find it more revolting. If he did like Heath, that would explain a lot. But Donnie was right. They're not the same. They're different sizes. It just wouldn't work out either way.

"You know I'm right. So as soon as this is done you better get away from us." Standing from the ground, Donnie prepared bandages to change his dad's out when he saw Heath began to stir and move around due to the conversation.

Michael carefully scratched his own bandages, his healing wounds itching badly. But if he itched too hard, it would tear the bandages and possibly rip the stitches open.

Heath slowly sat up, stretching his arms far over his head. A pain ran through his whole upper body, but he needed to relax his stiffened arms. He doesn't remember exactly when he fell asleep, or when Michael had even fallen asleep.

"Good morning Donnie, Michael. I hope you both slept decently enough." Heath smiled at the two, remaining in the grass as his teenage son approached him.

"I need to fix your bandages dad," Donnie mumbled though the truth was he hardly knew how to do it himself. However, he wasn't about to let the human lay a hand on his father again.

Heath eyed his son suspiciously, glancing at Michael who seemed uncomfortable. He knew immediately Donnie did something again but decided it was best to not bring it up. "Sure thing Donnie." Again he laid in the grass, letting him take care of the bloody bandages and adjust the stitches.

Michael played with his clothes and tried to make himself look busy, doing his best to not look at Heath's bare muscular chest while Donnie fixed the bandages on his stomach.  If he wasn't attracted to him, he wouldn't want to look so bad right? He wouldn't feel the way he felt when he did look. He started to wonder if that was why he never really felt anything when he and his wife were together.

No matter what, when his wife kissed him, touched him, said she loved him, he could barely bring himself to return the actions. Maybe that's just it. He's never been really attracted to women. The whole thing began to make sense now. "I figured it out!" He shouted, not meaning to aloud and quickly clamped his hands over his mouth as the Masonin's nearby looked in his direction.

"What did you figure out, Michael?" Heath asked with a gentle smile, taking Donnie's hand as he helped him up.

"Uh...why...people never told the public they took a Masonin baby," Michael said quickly, glad he was able to think of that off the top of his head. "It was because they knew the public wouldn't respond well to it being a baby. And if the public had known, then they wouldn't be able to experiment on the poor thing."

"Oh. That does make sense." Heath pushed himself to his feet, ushing thick -thin to him- tree branches out of the way as he walked over to his son and friend.

He had to pause. A branch had snapped nearby and with the Pegasus on their trail, he couldn't risk leaving it be. "Who's there?" He said firmly, staring through the trees as he searched for any being, be it human or Masonin.

The same member of the Pegasus from before stepped forward, again aiming her shotgun at the group. "All of you get down, now. You are outnumbered, surrounded, and can't run anywhere." She spoke with a growl in her tone, her hair still pulled back into a frizzy ponytail.

Several male and female Masonin's stepped out into the open through the trees, all holding the same gun as the woman.

Michael swallowed loudly and grabbed onto Heath's leg without thinking, staring at the giant beings surrounding them. Something touched his shoulder, and he looked up to see Heath with his arm around him.

"Leave us alone. This human has done nothing wrong." Heath spoke as calmly as he could, afraid one wrong move or word could kill them all, then no humans would have a chance at survival. Michael, Heath, and Donnie were the only one that knew the truth so far.

"All humans did something wrong, get down!" She again ordered, raising her gun in front of her face to aim.

Heath could feel Michael trembling against him. For a human who could act so strong, it was strange to see him like this. He didn't want to let anyone hurt him. "Fine, fine. Here." Slowly, Heath fell to his knees and raised his hands above his head. "Donnie, Michael, do the same."

Micheal immediately dropped to his knees with his hands up next to Heath, while Donnie was hesitant to follow his father's orders behind them. Once all three were on their knees, other Pegusus members bound their hands together and forced them all to their feet.

Heath and Donnie were drug in one direction, Michael in another. Michael kicked his legs and fought the man but the new Masonin only lifted him off the ground and over his shoulder with ease. He stared at his friend and Donnie as they were pulled away from him, and could see some panic in Heath's eyes as the Masonin seemed desperate to try and come up with an idea to keep them in a group.

Heath watched the man carry Michael away, hoping that he was kept alive long enough for him to think of a way to get them out of here. Until then, he had to at least try and negotiate with this female and hope he can save the human before it's too late.
