the crowd had mixed emotions i heard a lot of screams and a few boos too , my heart went out to Luke i know hes backstage wishing he couldve won it but i know he has a smile on his face because thats just the kind of man he is
mama reached over and grabbed my hand , she knew how much i wanted Luke to win this award but im still happy for Hunter he did deserve it , and there will be other awards
The awards show kept going with performances by the band perry and Blake Shelton with "My Eyes" and then Hunter performed "invisible"
I sent Luke a quick text "hey baby sorry you didn't win the album of the year award but Luke your my man of the year and i just want you to know you mean the world to me and no matter how many awards you do or dont win youll always be number 1 to me . Love you <3"
Hunter is still singing and i happened to look over at the side stage and Luke was peeking around the curtain and we made eye contact and he smiled that beautiful smile and then blew me a kiss and smiled and disappeared again . Man do i love him !
Blakes voice interupted my thoughts
"Okay ya'll youve seen awards givin youve seen all of country artists perform and now theres just one thing left "
then Miranda said " And that one thing is a new award we are starting out this year . Its called..."
"Its called the award for most inspiring artist " Blake interupted Ran she just pretended to elbow him in the stomache haha
They kept talking but all i could think of was please be Luke please be Luke! He deserves this one even more than the album award! I know hes definitely inspired me over the time ive known him . And then Blakes voice interupted my thoughts again
"Now the fans out there , all of you voted for who inspires you the most , so now for the final award of the night , Ran you gonna open it ?" Blake said
"yes i am ! "
Miranda opened the envelope .......
