Luke walked into a quiet house. His footsteps echoing in the empty living room. He looks around and the place is spotless. The floor is close to be a polished pearl.

"Mum?" He called. His eyes fell on a sheet of paper on the coffee table. His eyes instantly widened when he saw the heading.

Divorce Form

His mother walked down the stairs when she heard him calling. Her face fell to the floor when she saw the sheet of document in his grasp. Luke's sight blurred as he stood in his place, frozen.

His mom slowly walked toward him as her face turned pale and the closer she got to him.

"M-mum... wha-what is this?" He asked her. "Are you really going to do this?"

The woman looked like she's seen a ghost. Her face white, no redness on cheeks indicating blood running in it. "I..I..."

"Answer me!" He screams.

Both of them start to cry as she pulls him into a hug. To his surprise, as well to hers, he didn't try to get out of her embrace. On the contrary, he sank into her hug, crying even harder.

"I'm sorry, honey. I really am." She apologizes. "But I can't do this anymore, sweetie. This... what I am doing... it's wrong."

He wiped his tears away as he smiled at her. "It's okay, Mum. If that's your choice... then I have no right to tell you no. As long as this is what you want, then I can't object."

She smiled and hugged him once again.

"You are a very special boy, you know that?"

Luke chuckled lowly, "you have been telling me so ever since I was a kid," he paused, taking a deep breath in. "Just so I know, when are you going to do... it?"

"As soon as your father comes back from work. He already knows everything that is going on," she answered. "I just have to tell you something. This is not easy for me to say."

Luke furrowed his eyebrows, "What is it, Mum?"

"I am going back. To Turkey. I am leaving tomorrow first thing in the morning."

"What? Why?" He questioned. "Is it that bad that you can't even stay in the same country as Dad anymore?"

The mother shook her head, "it's not that. Since it is over, I wanna go back. I miss it," she confessed.

Luke nodded. "Alright. Like I said, I have no right to object," he stated. "I will be up in my room, okay?"

She nodded, smiling ever-so slightly. "Okay."

Luke then left the room without another word.

The night passed by quickly, it gave Luke peace of mind. Before he knew it, everything was finalized. Luke's mother packed her stuff and headed for her friend's house to stay the night. Just as Luke was about to fall into the darkness of sleep, his father walked in.

"Luke, get up. I need to talk to you and your sister," his dad said. Louisa was walking behind her dad, tiredly rubbing her eyes.

"Can't this wait till the morning?" Luke questioned.

His dad shook his head, "no it can't."

Louisa sat next to him on the bed as their father sat across of them. He kept playing with his fingers, showing signs of hesitation and anxiousness.

"Dad, what is going on?"

He sighed. "There is no easy way to say this but, we are going back to London tomorrow after school. Tomorrow is your last school day here."
