Chapter 3

It was two months after Jungkook's scare with Jieun, in addition to the Joker confessing to Jungkook about his intention. The young psychiatrist was sitting with his legs crossed at a table and looking at the Joker who was looking at Jungkook intently on the opposite side, "How is that little tramp of yours doing?"

"Stop doing that. She's not cheating on me!" Jungkook rebuttal the question but then he just took a deep breath, "She's doing fine. Now, why don't we discuss something of your past?" Jungkook placed old photos of the man in front of him that had another young man in the photo, "I assume this is you and your ex-boyfriend. What was his name? Jung Hoseok."

"Where the hell did you get those?" The madman growled, "I buried those memories. They mean nothing to me."

"Then what was that reaction? Why are you getting defensive? You provoke me with my wife, it's only fair that I provoke you with your ex-boyfriend." Jungkook was becoming more combative towards the Joker. He didn't know whether it was because he was becoming more comfortable around the maniac or because he was tired of being used. The Joker began to laugh to which Jungkook just looked at him questionably. "What? What's so funny?"

"Oh, see this is why I like you so much, Harley." He smiled, "I would just like to see you go insane. I will wait until you find out the truth behind your little tramp of a wife."

"What do you mean?" Jungkook was tired of going around in circles with this man. "Why do you have such an interest in me? I'm a psychiatrist. I thought we bored you."

"The others do, but you don't. You act composed and grounded but inside I know you're somebody who seeks a thrill. Who better to give that to you than me? You're also a little masochist." That statement made Jungkook a bit taken aback. "You may not know it yet but you are so similar to me, Jungkook." He spoke Jungkook's real name which surprised him that he knew it, "You are so similar to how I was when I was known as Taehyung. You try so hard to stay sane. You haven't had the right drive to become insane like me."

Jungkook was coming to the conclusion that his patient never had an underlying mental illness, the man in front of Jungkook was the man that Taehyung was meant to be. He's completely aware of his mental state...what is he? "I'm nothing like you. I wouldn't bury who I really am. I won't abandon Jieun."

"But she will abandon you. Just wait, my little Harley, and I promise you, you will become mine." Joker smiled. All of the sudden a knock on the door sounded and walking in was Jimin, "If it isn't the cute little supervisor~"

Jungkook rolled his eyes as he stood up and approached Jimin. "What do you want, Jimin? I'm in the middle of a conversation~"

"Even if you are in the middle of a conversation, I'm sure it's one you'd rather not be in." Jimin stated which Jungkook could partially agree on, "Jieun is in the waiting room. She told me that you two had an appointment at the doctor's."

"Oh shit. She's probably really mad at me." Jungkook handed Jimin the papers on the Joker. "Thank goodness, she came to remind me because I can't be with him any longer. Tomorrow, he's getting a different psychiatrist."

"No, Harley!" The Joker acted sad but inside he was positive that his Harley would come back to him. Jungkook ignored him and walked out.

In the area where guest visit patients, Jieun was pacing around. She sees Jungkook coming out and she ran to him, hugging him. "Where have you been? Did you not have your phone or watch on you?"

Jungkook looked at his wife's mad pout and he just smiled, finding her adorable, "No, I didn't. My attention has to be on my patient so sometimes I lose track of time. But I'm here now, let's get going to the hospital and find out if we will have a baby girl or baby boy." They were on their way out to the car and Jungkook realized something, "By the way, Jieun, how did you get here?"
