Chapter 21

-Arriving at Ace Chemicals-

Joker gets out of the car along with Jisoo, "Even after all of these years...this place is still active." Jisoo looks at Joker as he speaks and walks towards the plantation. As they get closer, they hear a blood-curtling scream and Jisoo knew exactly who it was. Is that what Harley went through in that prison? "We have to--" As he began talking he saw Jisoo go running in. "She's too much like Baekhyun. Get back here." He chases after her.

They go inside and they hear the scream again but it wasn't as loud which made Joker think about something they didn't consider. "That doesn't sound right." He starts running in the direction of the scream and they see a laptop with a webcam. There was Eunjung in what looked like a torture chamber, Joker even thought the sight was too much to bear because he almost saw Harley there in her place.

"Eunnie!" Jisoo fell on all fours to look into the laptop, "Eunjung, my love. Please answer me!"

All of the sudden, they see a man with facial features similar to that of Baekhyun and Joker. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jung Daehyun. I've just been entertaining myself with the daughter of Harley Quinn. They are both equally as fun to play with but I got to say, Joker, your Harley is so much fun to play with." The way he was provoking Joker made him sick, "The next step: Go to the place where Harley and Joker first met." That's when Joker took the laptop and threw it down to the vats of acid.

"Damn it. The way he talked about Harley makes me disgusted. Come on Jisoo, we're going to Arkham Asylum. They're going have us on a wild goose chase and I'm not in the mood to play along with this guy's games." Joker said as he grabbed Jisoo by her arm to pull her up. "You're going to be lucky even if she lives that she'll be sane."

"Don't worry about that. Her mother is already crazy and so is her father. I wouldn't be surprised but despite being insane, she'll still be my Eunjung." Jisoo began to walk out and that's when everybody showed up. "They're not here."

Baekhyun was being supported by Chanyeol, "Jisoo? Are you okay?"

"Eunjung is being tortured somewhere and I can't do anything about it right now. They said the next place to go to is Arkham Asylum." Jisoo said which caught Jieun's attention. "They said to go where Harley and Joker first met."

"How do they know about all these places related to those two? They have to be close to us." Jieun said, "Isn't Dawon in Arkham Asylum?"

"Yes, she was borderline insane and I remember Yoongi took her to Arkham Asylum because he was worried about her." Jieun never really like Dawon but she was important to Yoongi so she dealt with her. "I'm confused as to why we have to go back to that place."

"Think about it, Ms. Lee...pretty everybody that this guy is targeting have been in Arkham Asylum. Joker, Harley and even you. Why not go to Arkham Asylum? Stir up any unpleasant memories. These guys specialize in torture....or even psychology because they are able to psychoanalyze." Jisoo said as she started to walk out. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a girlfriend to save." That's when Harley grabbed her by the arm, "Let go of me."

"Please..." The tone of voice was desperate, "Bring her back alive."

Jisoo muttered under her breath, "Don't worry, Jungkook. I'd rather die than see her dead." That's when she tore her arm away from Jungkook's strong grip and walked away. Even though that's a strong grip...it's full of care and love. "I can see why he loves you." Jisoo said as she was away from them and got into the Joker's car..."I know you can break free from your chaotic mental state, Taehyung. My father believes in you."

~Elsewhere~

Eunjung awakens from her sleep and she winces in pain. She manages to find the strength to look around her and she notices Riddler, Poison Ivy and the one she least expected, Dawon. Her vision was blurry but she saw someone come down the stairs. It was Daehyun but along with him was the leader, Eunjung assumed. "Look who's awake." The voice was familiar but Eunjung was so out of it because of her injuries. "Let's give you the worse pain imaginable." He said as he cut Poison Ivy for her blood. Eunjung knew what Ivy's blood contained, which was a poisonous hallucinogens. He then forced Eunjung to drink it but even half alive she still had fight in her. "I knew this wouldn't be easy."

Eunjung felt her conscious being taken over and Hoseok said to her, "Take some time...I don't want you to be too worn out." That's when Eunjung's eyes were filled with life and they laid their sight on the leader. "You can try to kill this girl and I won't let you. Tell me, who are you?" Eunjung's voice was mixing with Hoseok's voice.

That's when Dawon's head lifted a little with hearing her little brother, and that made the leader back away. "No. Tell me who you are. What have you done with Eunjung I want to kill her not you, whoever you are."

"I won't answer your question. You will not break me. I know you are the one who killed me the first time. I will and cannot die in her body. Her mind and soul are resting and mine took over but because this is not my body I cannot die." Hoseok had an unwavering amount of confidence. He wanted to protect this child because it is the child of Taehyung's new lover. I will not pass on without seeing him one more time. "You made the mistake of touching a single finger on this child."

"You may not be able to die but I will be able to condemn you to eternal emotional pain." The leader turned to look at Daehyun, "Go get Hyuna! I need to know who this spirit is." Daehyun nodded his head and headed upstairs.

"Go ahead and try it." Hoseok glared at the leader who sighed as he reached for his mask to remove it. Once he had a hand on his mask that's when Hoseok said, "You think it would be such a good idea revealing who you are just yet?" He was trying to move Eunjung's body just by wiggling her fingers and toes. "You've stayed hidden for so long, why not wait until the real party starts?" You will reveal your face to my one love and my sister so they know exactly who you are. Hoseok was trying to keep the resonance between his soul and Eunjung's so he wouldn't get kicked out. "I know your target is Kim Taehyung. Wait until he gets here and I want to watch you die after you killed me and so many others."

All of the sudden from Dawon's weak voice, "H-Hoseok..."

That's when Daehyun all of the sudden fell down, or was pushed down, the stairs and that's when the leader looked up and saw Hyuna come down the stairs. "I feel a very old soul but a familiar soul to two people in this room: a close friend and a brother. A luminous and personality that won't dim no matter how the dark the situation. This is the soul of Jung Hoseok."

"That's impossible! You told me that you couldn't feel his soul anywhere! You're telling me it was hidden in this girl?"

"It wasn't hidden. You lie in the shadows while I live in the light. I always have...my dear friend." Hoseok said, sadly. "Even now, knowing that you were the one who killed me, I still don't hold a grudge. In life and in death, I'm still the same. I probably couldn't say the same for you, Min Yoongi."
