They turned me over without my say and now they wish they never cared. The scares on my back still visible. Luke's hand traced some of the scars while Lacy was sitting in front of me crying. But I didn't care. Luke's touch was taking over. My mind told me NOT to trust him, and I was doing it anyway.

His hand went all over my back. That's when I felt it. I felt a small drop land on my back. It could be anything, but when turned to look at Luke he was, in fact, crying. He let me lay on my back when I looked at him. Lacy was still crying. Luke looked at me and I looked at him. His eyes burning into my soul. He looked at me a moment longer then turned to Lacy.

Before I could stop myself my hand was caressing his cheek, a stray tear was being wiped in the process. His eyes closed and someone watched. Lacy was still crying. I looked at her and saw she wasn't crying, she was smiling. She still had tears on her face, but she was smiling at me and Luke. I moved my hand from his face making him look at me funny. When he looked at Lacy, on the other hand, he got all awkward.

Luke was waiting in the back seat after a long fight between him and Lacy. Lacy drove and I sat with Luke. My eyes kept closing on me while we drove to the hospital. Luke laughed at me but I didn't have the time to yell at him like Lacy or the muscle to hurt him like Cole. He grabbed me and set my head to rest on his lap. He rubbed my back and kept moving my hair behind my ear.

This was the first time he's ever shown me that he likes me. It wouldn't last, I knew that, but it didn't stop me from liking him even more.

When we finally reached the hospital he picked me up and carried me halfway in while Lacy got me a wheelchair.

"I can walk," I said annoyed that they thought of me as weak. Lacy smiled then put on a stern face and sat me down. Before we reached the doors Sarah was at my side scowling at Luke. She walked next to me asking what happened while Lacy answered. Luke stayed next to me.

"Marco, are you OK," Sarah said finally acknowledging my existence.

"Other than the fact that they won't let me walk, yes," I said making Luke look at me with an emotion I couldn't read. Lacy, on the other hand, started yelling at me about the scares and the fight with Cole.

"I need to speak with Luke alone for a moment," she said finally.

"I'd rather stay with them," he said pointing to me and Lacy.

"Fine, did you and your friends do this?"

"No, we use our fists," he answered simply.

"Why didn't you just ask me?" I asked.

"You wouldn't tell me even when he wasn't here,"

"Look I own what I do, but that, I would never do that," he said this after noticing how tense I was. My anxiety was acting up.

"Fine, then own what you did last time," she said.

He looked shocked, "OK, we broke his ribs, fine, we mad him cut, fine, but we never made him puke and we never hit him like that," his eyes were glazed over. "I'll do the time," his hands were held out like they would cuff him.

I was in a hospital bed with Luke and Lacy watching TV. They wouldn't let me call my dad. I was starting to wonder if I was going to get out of this one.
