(Luke's P.O.V)
His laugh was forever embedded in my mind. It was soft yet bold and it was the kind of laugh that would make you forget all of the bad things and only focus on one thing. The laugh. The nurse, Sarah, pulled me out of the room to ask me some questions after my little pillow fight with Marco.
She stood outside and stared at me. "That's the first time he's ever laughed in front of me, like actually laugh not pretend laugh but actually laugh.
I looked through the windows and saw him trying to sleep. When I looked at Sarah I saw she was crying. "Glad I could help,"
"Figures, the one person I hate is the only person he likes."
"Ouch,"
"Don't act surprised."
"OK, what'd you want to ask me?" I said starting to get bored with this little talk.
"I wanted to ask if you'd testify, you don't have to I'm sure we have enough proof, but if you did"
"I'll do it," I said interrupting. "I'll have to tell my parents first but I'll do it."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it the least I can do for him," I turned my head as Marco sat up. Sarah said something but I didn't hear. My mind had solely started to focus on him. I loved how his eyes were different from each other. His blue eye seemed to be the one that pulled you in and his green one was the one that held you close.
"Hello!" Sarah said pulling me out of my head.
"Sorry,"
"Have you ever assumed his father was abusive?"
"No, but I think he's an alcoholic."
"Any proof?"
"When Lacy and I came to his house one night his dad's breath smelt like beer,"
"Has he ever talked to anyone before?"
"Not that I know of."
"Has he cut recently?" I paused. If I answered her question he could get in trouble but if I didn't he would get worse.
"No." I lied.
"Has he dated anyone recently?"
"No." The questions went on and I answered them. Every once and a while I'd look at Marco but he would either be laying down trying to sleep or sitting up fiddling with his fingers. My mind wandered to what it would be like to hold him. How soft is his skin? How smooth his hair? How sweet are his lips? Those are the questions I wanted the answer to.

RandomI looked down at the edge and felt all the air around me move. I tilted my head back and closed my eyes. "Marco, don't do this!" he paused. I brought my head up a bit, "please don't," he finished as I looked at him deciding. He had tears in his eyes...
