Lost In Thought

I woke up in Luke's room with his arms around me. I didn't really think about it until he pulled me closer to him. That's when I started to freak out. I was in Luke's room. I was in Luke's room and he was cuddling with me. That's not even the weirdest part. He was smiling. In his sleep.

"Why do you move so much when you wake up?" he asked sleepily.

"I don't you just surprised me," I said softly. H e chuckled and pulled me on top of him.

"Sarah called last night when she got off her shift. Said she wanted you to stay at hers when you head back to school."

"Okay," I said taking the blanket off of my shoulders.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm gonna go head to Walmart. I need clothes."

"Just wear mine," he said holding onto my thighs. I felt weird doing this but didn't think he was going to do anything.

"Why?" I asked. I moved up to his stomach so I didn't feel so uncomfortable.

"It's cheaper and it means I get spend more of my day with you."

"That is not only a cheapskates move but is so cheesy."

"You know you love it."

"Not really."

"Oh yeah," he said sitting up. I slid down and ended up sitting on his thighs.

"Please don't tickle me again," I said covering my stomach and hiding my neck in my shirt.

"I won't," he said removing my arms and putting them around his neck.

"Luke. What are you doing?"

"It's not tickling," he said. He leaned in and kissed my cheek. I felt heat rise from my face.

"No it's not," I said. I put my face in his neck trying to hide my blushing disaster.

"No you don't," he said. He pulled my face up and kissed my nose.

"What are you-" I half said. He put his hand over my mouth and shook his head.

"You are so clueless," he said before removing his hand and kissing my lips. Shit.

*Time Skip*

I was currently sitting on Sarah's couch with one of Luke's gym bags next to me with his clothes inside. He didn't let me pick but I knew that no matter what it was going to be ten times my size.

"So I think you could head back to school in a week or so. Your mom's funeral is tomorrow and I thought you'd want to go," Sarah said. She was sweet when she said it but seemed a bit on edge.

"Yeah. I know she meant well and she deserves a good day. Dad never really gave her one I don't think."

"Speaking of your dad."

"He's coming isn't he."

"He's the one who made it possible. He said that it would be his last chance to do something good for you and her. He also said that he hopes you'll come."

"I know. And I will."

"You don't have to."

"I know Sarah. I want to though. For mom. And my brother."

I looked up at her and could tell she didn't want me to push myself. She seemed scared or worried. I couldn't really tell. I knew she was tired. There were bags under her eyes and she was shaking.

"I'm gonna hit the sack."

"No one says that anymore, Sarah."

"Well I do. It's nice to say when you don't want anyone to disturb you. You know unless there's a fire or an axe murderer."

"Okay Sarah. I got it. Leave you alone."

"You get some sleep to okay. You'll need it."

So I did. Thinking about the one thing that had decided to flood my mind. Luke.
