I was back at school. The others were the same and it didn't seem like anyone noticed me. I was really happy about that. I have yet to see Luke or his friends which was also a good thing. Lacy didn't know I came back today and I wasn't looking forward to it. Lacy can be very dramatic and loud and I don't want any attention.
Nobody said a word to me when I walked in. Everyone was quiet. Except it was loud with gossip. I heard people had spread rumors that I killed my mother or that my dad caught me with her. Everyone seemed so stupid in classes that I had forgot that they had enough brain space to create rumors. It's funny real. Any other time they're silent but once someone does something rumor worthy they're all over it.
"Marco. May I have a word?" Mrs. Torrez asked from her classroom. I stopped for a moment and thought about a way to get out but then decided to listen and head towards her room. She closed the door behind her after I entered the room. She went over to her desk and pointed to the nearest desk.
"Hey," Luke said. He was sitting in the desk next to it. I sat down and looked at Mrs. T in hopes she would be quick about this.
"So, seeing as how you were preoccupied with other issues of your own I feel it would be best to let you turn your project in a little late. You can do it where ever it is you are staying however I expect for you to both to work on it together."
"We understand Mrs. T," Luke said. He seemed annoyed like usual.
"Then you are dismissed," she said with a sigh. Luke walked out with me following him. Mrs. Torrez tapped my shoulder when I reached the door, "I am truly sorry."
I nodded and walked out. Luke was standing by the bathroom and looked straight at me. He walked in and I followed. The bathroom was empty. Luke and I were both alone. He pulled me into one of the smaller stalls. He pulled me into a hug.
"I thought you weren't going to come today," he said holding me.
"I didn't feel like using all of the shit I've been through as an excuse. To be honest it feels good to be here. Other than the stares and the whispers. I guess I'll never get used to that."
"You talk to much," he said. He pushed me up on the stall door and started to kiss me. He wasn't rough but it surprised me. I pushed him away softly.
"We're going to be late, Luke."
"And."
"Luke."
"Fine. Later," he said with a wink.

RandomI looked down at the edge and felt all the air around me move. I tilted my head back and closed my eyes. "Marco, don't do this!" he paused. I brought my head up a bit, "please don't," he finished as I looked at him deciding. He had tears in his eyes...
