Zach and Mitchell had been together for over a year now. They lived in the same apartment, and spent nearly every waking moment together.

On this particularly warm day, they decided to walk down to the park near their apartment complex. They took their dog, Alfonz, and holding hands, they went on their merry way.

Swinging their arms casually back and forth, they walked in a peaceful silence.

"Mitch?" Zach asked out of nowhere.

"Yeah bud?" Mitchell answered, halting to let Alfonz sniff a tree along the sidewalk.

"Do you ever.. Worry.. That things are gonna change? And everything you know is just gonna drop out from under you?" Zach said, looking fixed on his feet.

Mitchell lifted his head to look at Zach curiously. "Hey, where's this coming from?"

Zach shrugged. "Don't know. I always worry about it. One day, YouTube is gonna flop, or we're gonna lose the apartment, or I'll wake up one day and you'll be gone."

He mumbled this last example so it was almost incoherent, but Mitchell still heard it. He moved Alfonz's leash onto his wrist, and spun Zach around so he was holding both of his hands.

"Now, you listen here." Mitchell said sternly. "Stuff is going to eventually change, there's no use denying it. Minecraft won't be a thing anymore, we'll outgrow YouTube, we'll get kicked out of the apartment for something!" He voice was rising significantly as he got more into his speech. "But there's no point in worrying over it, because it could happen five years from now, and then it'd just be silly fretting over it now."

Zach seemed slightly reassured. "But what if it happens tomorrow?"

Mitchell was silent for a few moments, and the only sounds they could hear was Alfonz padding around in the grass behind them and the occasional car passing by.

"If it happens tomorrow," he started. "You better believe I'm gonna be right here next to you. And if it happens in one year, or five years, I'll be here. Because I love you, and nothing is ever gonna change that."

Zach looked at him, biting his lip. Then he leaned in and kissed him softly but surely. "I love you too." He mumbled through the kiss. "Thank you."
