Chapter 8- gbomb

It was mid winter, which in Canada could only mean negative temperatures and sleet. Liam was in the basement, trying to find a movie on Netflix on the tv. He was covered almost completely in a thick blanket, only his head peeking out.

As he browsed he could hear his boyfriend Zach upstairs in the kitchen. He was supposed to be making popcorn, but if Liam knew Zach, and he did, then he was actually making a mess.

After a particularly loud crash from the kitchen, Liam paused his searching to call up warily "Everything all good?"

It was silent for about a minute, and just as Liam was about to leave his cocoon to check it out, Zach came down the stairs with an elaborate tray of food. Well, it wasn't a tray, it was a cooking pan, but close enough. "It's all good in the hood." Zach confirmed, smiling proudly at his creation.

On the tray was in fact a bowl of popcorn, but also two blue Powerades, a small quickly melting candle, and a bowl of Doritos.

Liam's heart swelled at the pitiful, but still adorable sight. "You're a sweetheart." He cooed.

"Shut your mouth," Zach said embarrassed. "And nudge over."

Liam lifted the blanket to allow Zach to snuggle in, the tray balanced on their laps.

"What movie are we watching tonight?" Zach asked, right before he blew out the poor little candle.

"Grease?" Liam pleaded, holding out the "e" sound, and leaning his head on Zach's shoulder.

"But we just watched it yesterday!" Zach argued, but when he saw Liam's puppy dog eyes, he groaned and complied. "Just because you're cute!" He said.

"Woo!" Liam cheered, and put on the movie without taking his head off of Zach's shoulder.

They laid there in silence, cuddling under the blanket, their legs tangling, reaching across each other to eat the food Zach had prepared. After the movie had ended, and the tray discarded, they fell asleep on the couch, still intertwined with Liam's head on Zach's chest.

"Goof." Zach mumbled, looking down at his sleeping boyfriend, just before falling asleep himself.
