[thank you all for 11k c: here's the chapter showing Brayden coming home from Africa and Ryan meeting him at the airport (he really did meet him there the pictures were adorable sjfmkslxlqkbd)]

Ryan stood in the crowded airport, licking his lips nervously and tapping his thigh with one hand. However, he constantly changed his position, he had a habit for doing so when he was nervous or excited.

After what felt like a lifetime of waiting, alone with his own thoughts, which was never good for him, he heard over the intercom that Brayden's flight number had landed. He knew the wait would sill be lengthy, so he tried to distract himself as best he could. He put in his earbuds and blasted music, but it wasn't loud enough. His thoughts were still whirling. What if it was awkward around Brayden? What if he changed when he was gone? What if- what if he changed so much he didn't love Ryan anymore? No, now he was getting ahead of himself.

He turned away from the constant stream of people getting off of various planes and instead faced out the window onto the field of cars in the parking lot. He had counted the blue, silver, and black cars before he felt a tap on his shoulder.

His stomach flipped, and he turned around to see a familiar face. It was Brayden, wearing a blue button down with a strange pattern on it, plaid shorts, and rubbing the back of his neck nervously. He looked as adorable as he did when they said their goodbyes.

"Brayden." He whispered, and he knew at once his thoughts on it being awkward or his boyfriend being different were completely wrong.

"Ryan." Brayden said clear and strong, before collapsing like a dropped glass into Ryan's chest. "I missed you so, so much." Brayden mumbled weakly, squeezing Ryan tightly.

Ryan in turn was also reduced to a shuddering mess, barely managing out his "I love you."
