[btw, it's another non-ship one!]

Leanne twisted her long red hair around her finger, then tucked it behind her ear. She really needed to get into the habit of putting her hair up before she came up to her studio.

Leanne was an aspiring artist living in Brooklyn, New York. Her small studio apartment was shared by her and her long-term boyfriend Zach. Zach did YouTube for a living, which a lot of people didn't get, but Leanne thought was unique and sometimes a bit adorable. Well, the part of him screaming and laughing at 2 am wasn't that endearing, but the part of him expressing his creativity through it was. Zach didn't like to say (or hear) it, but he was extremely creative.

Leanne sometimes felt bad, that Zach had to supply most of the money for them, but whenever she voiced her concerns Zach would hush her with soothing words and a kiss or two.

At this particular moment, Leanne was working on a watercolor painting of a Brooklyn street, complete with dingy buildings and graffitied walls. She nibbled on the end of her paintbrush, struggling to create the right color for one of the building's shadow.

The stairs up to her studio (which was in the loft) creaked, and Leanne sighed, and set down the brush to turn around.

Zach grinned sheepishly; he was holding a little white teacup on a matching tray carefully in both hands. Leanne smiled widely at him "Aww, look at you, being all helpful and cute."

Zach ducked his head, laughing softly, and sat down next to her with the warm drink. "How's it coming along?" He asked, before kissing her temple.

Leanne shrugged. "I'm not sure yet. I just can't figure out this color. It needs to be a little purpley, but not too purpley, you know?"

Zach shrugged, pulling a face. "Hey, I'm not the artist here!" After receiving a glare from Leanne, he said quickly "But lemme see!"

He leaned forward, grabbed the brush, dipped it in some purple Leanne had mixed, and in his brisk movements to set the brush to canvas flicked some paint onto Leanne's worn jeans.

"Zach!" She exclaimed.

Zach burst into laughter, so in retaliation Leanne dipped her finger in orange paint and swiped it down Zach's nose. He got silent fast, and it was Leanne's turn to giggle.

It was suddenly a paint war. A pink splatter on Leanne's old t-shirt, a dollop of green on Zach's beanie, and a few more splotches of purple here and there. They had both stood, and were rushing around in the studio.

Leanne crashed into Zach, knocking him onto the bean bag chair in the corner. Zach held her tight by the waist, and pressed his lips firmly into hers. They both laughed into the kiss, so each could feel the vibrations through their bodies.

They calmed down, an Zach adjusted his girlfriend so she was sat on his lap comfortably. They settled in, catching their breath and cuddling, each imprinting paint stains on the other.

"At least I wore old clothes today." Leanne teased, turning her head to kiss Zach once more.
