It was a brisk Autumn day in downtown Seattle. It was also a Saturday, which meant Zach was off work. He planned to go to his favorite bookstore and coffee place.

He tugged on his usual gray beanie, his cozy black winter jacket, and adjusted his curly brown hair so it swept across his forehead.

He was walking down the sidewalk to the coffee place and was passing the skate park when he saw him.

There were 3 boys and 1 girl skateboarding. The one boy that stood out to him had perfect light brown hair, sharp cheekbones he could see from here, and was wearing a SnapBack and a light hoodie over a muscle tank.

The boy caught his eye, and started skating towards him. Zach blushed and looked downwards, sure the boy wasn't coming for him.

But he was wrong. The boy got off his skateboard, and fell into step next to Zach. "Jordan." He said, holding out a thin hand.

Zach took it graciously, replying "I'm Zach."

"Mind if I join you?" Jordan asked. "My friends won't mind."

Zach shrugged. "If you want. I mean, I'm just gonna grab a coffee and go down to the bookstore on the corner."

"Oh, I love this coffee place!" Jordan chirped.

When they got inside, the air was noticeably warmer then outside, causing Zach to shiver. Jordan went up to the counter, smiling warmly at the waitress. "Hey Lisa." He greeted. Lisa ran a hand through her blonde hair and grinned. "I'm gonna get my usual medium roast with soy milk, and Zach here.." He trailed off, looking back at Zach with scrutiny, and said "A dark roast with sugar."

Zach blushed, that was exactly what he would've ordered. He asked Jordan as they got to their table "How'd you know what I wanted?"

Jordan smirked. "Lucky guess. You seemed like a dark roast kinda guy."

Zach took a long sip of his drink. "So you take a lot of guys here?" His heart had sunken a bit.

Jordan bit his lip, clearly hiding another smirk, and said, tapping Zach's nose "Only the cute ones."

After their coffee was finished, they walked down to the bookstore. Zach wandered away from Jordan, over to the fantasy books. He was searching through a few interesting ones when Jordan peeked through the bookshelf from the other side.

Zach laughed. "You goof! What're you doing?"

Jordan giggled, but didn't respond, only disappeared behind the shelf again. Curious, Zach rounded the corner. He was expecting to see Jordan standing there holding back laughter, but to his surprise Jordan's lips greeted him.

When he had come around, Jordan had been ready to kiss him. Zach kissed him back, his face flushed with cold from outside an happiness. Zach leaned Jordan back against the bookshelf, and the kiss deepened.

When Jordan finally pulled away, he grinned cheekily at Zach, who returned with a wide smile of his own.
