It was a dull, rainy day. Zach had been taking his daily walk around his neighborhood when the rain started. So he had rushed home through the drizzle and had just gotten through his front door when it really started pouring down.

So here he was, aimlessly scrolling through his comments on his most recent YouTube video, uncomfortably damp. The comments were nothing interesting, just the same stuff, so he switched to Twitter. There he saw endless tweets featuring his friend Brayden's return from his recent trip in Africa.

This picked up his mood. The last 3 weeks without being able to talk to Brayden had been torture. The days, absent from the usual daily teamspeak calls and recording sessions, seemed more pointless and overall sad. He tweeted a bit about his excitement to talk to Brayden, but tried to keep it as casual as possible.

Yes, he had feelings for Brayden. No, he didn't know; no one did. Besides, Brayden was definitely straight, and nothing could be done about that.

After a long night of waiting for Brayden to finish up hanging out with his family, Zach could finally talk to him.

"Rusher!!" he squealed. "It's so great to hear your voice!" And it really was. Brayden's voice had always been seen as a source of comfort for Zach. When he was feeling his worse, watching one of Brayden's videos could make him smile.

He wasn't watching the clock as he talked to Brayden. He wasn't checking twitter, his phone, anything. Brayden was one of those people that captured his full attention, and he loved it.

When it was time to say goodbye, Zach let out one of his classic "Do you love me today?". Brayden was silent, and Zach could clearly see him shaking his head in his mind. "Sure, buddy, sure." Brayden said before hanging up.

Zach smiled widely, and mumbled a goodbye before hearing the click of the call ending. He bit his lip to force down an explosion of happiness, and spun around in his chair giddily.
