L.A, 2002

No. Not exactly what I expected. When Chris said new scenery, I thought it would work. But in fact, not that much. I mean, it's a good thing we don't fight as much as before, but still...not a result that I'm looking for. I don't know, we still got 2 months here so just say that we might have a chance later.

But, let's say I found another thing. I met someone here. I feel like she's the one. After one or two dates, I start liking her, in a level that passed my other ex but Aubrey. But I can tell she's closer to Aubrey than anyone. I also tell Aubrey about Jordyn and she was glad I finally found someone. I'm so excited about our date tonight. "I'll get you at 8." I tell her before I hang up and take a walk to see if I can get any gift out there. I walk passed a flower stall and I stop by. Just in case I find a good one.

After sure I picked the finest, I reach for my pocket and then I see a glimpse of someone right across the street. It's the hotel where Taylor and Nate stayed at. Chris is at different hotel and I just got a house around here. I won't spend much bucks on hotel. House will be good investment too.

"Can you keep this for me?" I say to the flower lady and then run to catch someone that looked like Aubrey. I can't be sure what she's doing, but she got bag on her back. I keep running until I can grab her shoulder. "Aubrey?" I try to catch my breath while waiting for her to turn back. But she refused to do so. I call her once again. "Aubrey, it's me Dave. What are you..." I insist to go in front of her, trying to make sure she see me, but I find another thing. Right now, I'm looking at her messed up mascara and shaking lips. "Hey...what happened?" I want her to look at me on my eyes but she won't. All she does is looking down the street.

"Aubrey? Hey. Are you listening?" I put both my hands on her cheeks and I can feel tears running through my hands. "I'll call Taylor." I reach for my phone but she stops me. "Don't. I..I just wanna go home."
"If you really wanna go home, he can get you there. I don't see why it's..." She cut me fast. "Back to cabin." She looks up and I know how much she wants to go from that street as soon as possible. "What about...we talked about this first. Then we decide wether you really wanna go back there or not. Is that good for you?" She nods. I have no idea where I should take her. "Do you mind to stay at my house just as long as we record here? I got two rooms so you don't need to be worry."
"Okay." She jumps into my car and then we drive away.

Soon as we get there, I open my front door and tell her I'll catch up. I need to cancel my date with Jordyn. This is kinda stupid. I just broke my date for a girl who doesn't even like me. I'm screwed. But when I saw her crying at that street, I just can't help. She was alone and fragile. When I go in, I spot her sitting still on my couch. Doing nothing but looking down the floor.

After some attempt, she finally say something to me. "We broke up. He said we're done." I'm shocked at what she says. "Wait, why?"
"I don't know either. The day we went home from hospital, he became cold to me. Sometimes he just avoiding me. And each time I brought it up, he became...mad. I don't understand."
"He didn't tell you anything?" I thought Taylor did the best to her, but after I hear about this, I doubt my decision. Why should I gave up on Aubrey for this man who doesn't even explain why he broke up with her? I should've been taking her long time ago.

"I think I know why." She muttered. "What?"
"But if that's true, I shouldn't be here either." She stands up but I stop her. "Hey. Tell me. Maybe I can help."
"No you can't. Because it might have something to do with you."
"Me? What do you mean?"
"He looked mad soon as I mention your name and....Forget that. I should go back to my place." She walks out from me and something hit my head, making me say something that I should've said years ago. "I want you to stay because I need you." It works. She stop. "What?"
"I'm sorry I didn't came back. I'm sorry you waited for me. And I'm sorry I let you fall for him."
"Dave it's not..."
"You said it has something to do with me. Maybe...maybe he heard something at the hospital."
"What are you talking about?"
"When he was in coma, remember I talked to him? I....told him that I was in love with you. That I can't see you crying and hope he will open your eyes so you can come back to smile."
"No. He couldn't hear what you..."
"What if he can? That he knows everything? And that's why he try to pissed me off this whole month?" Her mouth is open. She still can't process anything. "I... I'm gonna go. It's my mistake to even followed you here." She turns away and I quickly grab her hand. "Stop. I'm serious. I want you to stay." She turn her body again to face me and that's the moment I put a kiss on her. She pushes me out at first but then she doesn't, as the time goes. When we let go, I look at her and put her hand on my waist. Walk slowly and leads her into my room.

I locked the door, lay her down my bed and for once again look in her eyes. "If you want me to stop, I will." She looks away for some seconds but then she hold my hand. "Don't... don't stop." I'm on the top of her then I lowered my face to kiss her as I take off her clothes. I tug her hair so I can see her face clearly when I slowly enter her. She hold her breath as I'm doing it. Carefully, I move my body, make a rhythm. When she calls my name, I got a chill on my spine. It's like I love the way she say it and I'm dying to hear that again.

"Dave..." I feel her back is aching as I move faster. She lingers her arms on my neck and buries her face on my shoulder. We finally reach it together and I'm collapsed on the top of her. We kiss and catch our breath. "Will you stay now?" I whisper.
