Sakura no Chikai | The Cherry Blossom Vow
Cherry blossoms are budding,
Yet your presence is lacking.
The space between us is like a ticking clock,
Fatal and destructive like the Hiroshima attack.I have been longing to watch--
How their petals grow and bloom in March.
How my nostrils smells the pleasant buds,
Seeing the pinkish color, it makes me glad.Waiting for the months to come,
Hoping to fasten the days and even the hours for some.
To share the Cherry blossom sightings,
Hanami, kano, yozakura, the festival is exciting!A toss of sake, to partake the offering,
A customary tradition passes to their offspring.
An outdoor party beneath the sakura trees,
Gathering of friends and love ones, I want to experience and see.Next year I promise to be with you my love,
A promise that I will give my best to strive.
To witness the breath-taking scenery with you,
And fulfill my vows, how my love has always been true.Chesz Dylan © | Copyright 2018
