Ethan; swearing
I wasn't feeling great today. Or at least that was my excuse. I was supposed to go to lunch with Ethan to finally meet his parents and I was terrified.
"There's nothing you can bribe me with that will convince me to do it," I said sternly as Ethan begged me to go.
"We can go out to a ramen place?" He suggested. Damn it, he knows me too well.
"Other than that. Okay. I'm in."
Ethan beamed and hugged me tightly. I had only said no in the beginning because I knew I was going to make a shitty first impression on them and I didn't want to embarrass Ethan.
It wasn't much later that Ethan and I were climbing in the car together. I was already anxious, chewing on my bottom lip. Ethan reached over and squeezed my knee.
"Thank you for doing this for me," He said softly. I glanced at him.
"I'm doing this for ramen," I grumbled.
He laughed. "I love you."
