Tyler; fluff

*Tyler's POV*

I watched (Y/N) as she climbed into her car and waved to Mark and me before driving off. I sighed slightly before turning back towards Mark and my lunch.

"You love her, don't you?" Mark asked a smirk on his lips.

I flushed. "Was it that obvious?"

Mark nodded. "You've gotta tell her. I can guarantee it'll go well."

"You can't guarantee that Mark," I huffed and started picking at my lunch.

"What if I could?"

I glanced up at him and raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

He bit his bottom lip. "She's my friend, too, ya know. We talk."

I gave him a wavering look. "You're bluffing."

"I swear I'm not. Please talk to her," Mark smiled slightly. I sighed, rubbing my face.

"Fine. I'll trust you."

Mark beamed at that. I rolled my eyes and stood up. "I'm gonna go to her place. Does that sound like a decent plan?"

He nodded vigorously. "Go get her man!"

And so I went.

I arrived at her house not even twenty minutes later, my breath coming fast and my hands shaking. I was so nervous. I could feel every beat of my heart.

I saw her peer out of her window, and she waved when she saw me. I forced a shaky smile and turned my car off before climbing out. She was already opening the door when I reached it.

"Hey! Did I leave something at the restaurant?" She quipped her head at me, and I felt my heart drop to my feet.

"No, no. I just. I need to talk to you," I sighed. I saw worry flash across her face.

"Is something wrong?"

"Not really," I assured. "I just need to tell you something."

She smiled a little. "Oh thank goodness. Come in; we'll sit down and chat." She waved me inside, and I carefully followed. She sat down and patted the couch cushion beside her. I sat down, fidgetting a little as I did.

"So, tell me what you've got on your mind," She grinned.

"(Y/N). Listen. We've been friends for a long time. And, since the day I met you I knew you were special. And I knew that I had feelings for you," I stammered the confession out in one breath. I watched her face as her brows furrowed.

"You have... feelings for me?"

I nodded slowly. I watched her grin. I watched her as she dove forward to hug me.

I hovered my hands above her waist, unsure of what to do or what was going on. She pulled back.

"Tyler. I feel the same," She whispered. Those words made me grab at her waist, desperate to keep this moment, desperate to keep her here and praying this wasn't a dream. I hugged her again, clutching her to me as she dug her fingers into my shirt.

"Don't play with me," I whispered hoarsely.

"I would never. You know me better than that," She giggled, pulling back again. I let out a breathy laugh.

"You're right. I do," I smiled, and she kissed me. She fucking kissed me. Her lips were gentle and warm, and she tasted like strawberries. I lost my breath.

She leaned back, letting out a small giggle. "Sorry about that."

I grinned broadly. "So, are we...?"

"Yes, Tyler. We're dating."
