I cross my arms defiantly and look at him. All thoughts of his hotness have flown out the window at his snobby bitch attitude.
"My name is Serena." I say and level my glare to his green eyes.
Ms. Jade chuckles as if we're cute or something. She gestures to my seat, so I reluctantly go and sit down.
I note that Ryan watches me, like a cat ready to pounce any moment.
"Excuse me, Ms. Jade but there is no way in hell that I'm sitting next to my enemy."
Ms. Jade simply gives a nod towards the vacant seat next to me.
All eyes are on us, and finally I get tired of it.
"Look, asshole, I have no problem sitting next to you, enemy or not. Now grow some balls and sit or throw a tantrum." I say with an eye roll.
Ryan's eyes widen a fraction and I realize that no one has ever really spoken to the royals like that. Oh well, he'll get over it.
I don't think I hear anyone even breathing to be honest. Instead, they focus all their energy on what Ryan will do.
Ryan begins to walk toward his seat, stiff as a tree, and sits down.
"Well, Ms. Jade I guess you can start the lesson." I say smugly, happy that I won.
All through the lesson, I feel his Highness's eyes burning holes into the side of my face.
I sigh, knowing that I'll never be able to concentrate with his intense gaze on me.
I turn my head and look at him, meeting his eyes. He hastily looks away, but I hear him hiss,
"Don't look at me, don't speak to me, don't even think of me. Got it, nymph?" Ryan snarled and I nodded stiffly.
The rest of the lesson, I kept my eyes trained at the front. I wasn't really paying attention, so I literally jumped in shock when the bell rang.
I quickly gathered my stuff and walked out of the classroom. I was barely out of the door when someone knocked my books from my hands, shocking me. I bend down and pick up my books, but not before I see Ryan's fleeing back.
Suddenly Ryan reappears on my side and I scowl as he helps me pick everything up.
"Why hit everything out of my arms if you're just going to help me pick it up?" I say angrily.
Ryan chuckled and I grimaced. What exactly was funny about this?
"I see you've met my twin, Ryan. What'd you do to make him hate you so much?" Ryan- wait not Ryan says.
I knew that Ryan had a twin, but I had no clue that they were identical.
"T-twin?" I stutter, completely thrown off guard.
All my stuff is now securely in my arms and I hold onto them tight, just in case this is some sick joke. I start to walk and Ryan's twin follows.
"Yeah, I'm Gabe. Pleasures all mine. So, again, what'd you do to my brother?" Gabe looks at me, curious but also. . . amused?
"He hates me because we're enemies. I'm a nymph." I say simply, waiting for him to run in the other direction.
"Cool. So what's your next class?" Gabe continues to walk with me, and my mouth drops open. Did he not hear what I just said?
"Why aren't you running in the other direction? Or about to rip my throat out like your miserable brother? We're enemies." I ask, putting emphasis on the enemies part.
"Well, first Ryan has a stick up his ass, so I hope that I'm nothing like him. Also, you haven't personally declared me your enemy, so as far as I am concerned we are friends." Gabe says this like it's obvious, but I honestly can't help but feel shock.
Sure, that's logical and all, but this the Fae world, honey. So wake up and smell the cheetos because this is definitely not how things go.
We round the corner after going to the stairs.
"Well, my classroom is right here. French 3, so bye friend." I said wanting desperately to just go into class in peace.
"Okay, well I'll walk you to the door. . .?" Gabe pauses and lets the silence hang.
I smile. I know that he's looking for a name, but he won't be getting one.
I reach the door and walk in, feeling slightly happy. Well, that is until I see a familiar face sitting in the row behind where I sit.
Guesses who it could be anyone? Bingo! It's Ryan.
Any happy feeling that I had quickly evaporated as he sees me with his brother by my side. He storms up to Gabe in a rage and practically shouts,
"What do you think you're doing with her, huh? She's the enemy, dammit!" Ryan's eyes are sending daggers in my direction, so I quickly scramble into class and take my seat.
"Chill, bro. You're going to make me late." Gabe began to walk off, but not before throwing a suggesting wink at me that made me blush crimson.
The bell rang and Ryan came and sat down behind me. I swear, if looks could kill I'd be six feet under right now.
I try to focus on our lesson, but it was impossible with all the whispers coming in my direction. No doubt, gossip was probably already spreading.
The bell rang releasing us to lunch and I bolted out of my seat. Au revoir, haters.
As soon as I stepped in the hallway I heard whispers, shouts, and laughs.
Suddenly, I'm being pushed up against the wall.
"Don't ever go near my boyfriend, got it?" A voice that I knew all to well hissed at me.
I nodded my head and soon I was released. I saw my best friend, Allea, and ran to her. People were staring, but she wouldn't really care.
A bunch of girls tried to walk up to me, but Allea blocked their path. Finally, we made it to my locker and I was able to grab my lunch without too much hassle.
We were able to escape to the field that's a couple yards from the school and sat down on the freshly mowed grass.
Allea waits for me to get comfortable before raising her eyebrows and asking the question that i know has been killing her inside.
"So what's up with you and Mr. Hotties?"
