Chapter 27- Rocky

Gab's POV

In Paris...

"Ok Daredevil... She has a black hair. She's wearing a white blazer. Drinking coffee at the Plaza café. She's already waiting for you. Seating outside. With a newspaper in front of her. She's expecting you." I heard a giggle at the other line. Napailing na lang ako.
"And goodluck." Sabi pa ng Shadow na si Sparrow.
Napailing na lang ako. Ang babata ng mga Shadow. Nasa teens pa yata ang mga ito. Tanungin ko nga minsan si Warren about this.

Nakita ko na ang Knights na kakausapin ko. I will just give her the information that she needs at lilipad ako papuntang Monaco para mag-unwind.

Nakayuko si "Rocky" ng umupo ako sa harapan niya. Hindi ito nag-angat ng ulo.

"Rocky..." I said. Doon pa lang nag-angat ng ulo ang babae. Napamura ako ng makilala ko siya.
"Fucking hell... Jacquelyn." Sambit ko. Napamura din si Jack.
"Don't tell me ikaw si Daredevil." Sabi nito. Hindi ko siya sinagot.
"Alam ba ni Tito Ace?" tanong ko sa kanya.
Matalim ang tingin ni Jack sa akin.
"Hindi." Sagot nito. Mas lalo akong napamura.
"Give me the info Gab." Sabi ni Jack. Nagtatagis ang mga bagang sa inis.
Umiling ako.
"Puta... this is my first assignment. Huwag mo akong isabotage." Nakakuyom ang mga kamao ni Jack.
"Papatayin ako ni Tito Ace kapag nalaman niyang pinakawalan kita dito."
"At ako ang papatay sayo kapag hindi mo binigay sa akin ang information."

She changed... Gaano na ba ako katagal na nawala at parang nag-iba na lahat?

"Jack..." Naihilamos ko ang kamay ko sa mukha.
"The info..." she stubbornly said.

"You lost your right to be worried to me when you chose to ignore us and leave. Now the info... Daredevil." She said coldly. She squared her shoulder and look at me intently.

Napailing ako. Yes she has the right to get angry with me. Hindi ako kahit minsan na tumawag sa kanila. Or nag-email man lang. Ilang birthday na ba ang pinalagpas ko? Ilang pasko?

"The group of kidnappers are from Armenia. According to my source they are targeting the Royal family of Cordonia." I can't believe she will be there doing this alone. Napaisip ako.
"And?" tanong ni Jack ng hindi ako agad magsalita.
"They will celebrate Cordonian Day nexy week. It's a festive that the palace is mostly conducting a ball and they might get a chance to kidnap one of the Royals."
"Anything else?" Jack asked.
Umiling ako.
"That's it." I replied.

Tumayo si Jack at tumalikod. I tried to catch her.

"Jack." Pinigilan ko siya sa balikat. She turn around but I didn't see it coming. She punched me at my jaw. Pucha, ang sakit. Napaatras ako.
"That's for leaving us." At sinipa pa ako ni Jack sa sikmura kaya napaupo ako.
"That's for Cailee because God knows she tried to be strong but I saw how she turned cold."

Saka tumalikod si Jack at umalis. Pinagtitinginan ako ng mga tao. Nakalimutan ko ng nakikinig nga pala si Sparrow.

"Well, she can punch. Isn't she?" Sparrow said over my ear piece.
"Fuck off." I take out the ear piece from my ear.

Fucking hell Jack, parang boxer ang nanuntok sa akin.... Magpapasa ang panga ko. Pero hindi ko siya masisi... I deserve that punch pero hindi naman sana sa mukha... Damn...

I need to postpone my vacation... Kailangan kong alalayan si Jack. Hindi ko pa alam kung sasabihin ko kay Tito Ace ito... Damnation... ang sakit sa ulo.

Naglakad ako papunta sa hotel.  I log-in in my computer and search for the nearest route to Cordonia.
By train or by bus or by car... Walang eroplano... Great! Mahaba-habang biyahe ito...

I need to trust Jack with this. If she became a member of the Knights of Leaders then she endure the training that I went throught. And that training is fucking hard. But she is my friend. She will needs me.

I better start my way to Cordonia. I need to be there before Jack arrive.
