CHAPTER ELEVEN

"What?" Jackie was still buzzing from Liam's news, "Where were you?" Kaitlynn sighed and just looked at her, ignoring all the confused looks and questions from the boys. Jackie knew that look. Kaitlynn had a secret to tell her. "I'm sorry guys," Jackie stood up, "I'll explain later I promise," she looked at her watch, "its getting late anyway, we should probably get going." Kaitlynn nodded, "Don't worry boys, I already paid the bill," she ignored the mock outrage from them, "plus, Josh and Niall are coming back now." Wait how did she know that? Jackie looked at her best friend questioningly. Kaitlynn only winked and continued hugging and saying goodbye to Harry, Louis, Liam, Zayn, and Paul. Jackie did the same, and they walked outside to the slightly chilly summer night. "Okay so what did you do?" Jackie elbowed her friend. Kaitlynn shushed her and picked up the pace, "Let's get to the car first. You're driving." Jackie shrugged and hurried to catch up with her. The car ride to Kaitlynn's house was about forty minutes. Plenty of time for stories right? Jackie got in the driver's side of her parents' beat up old Lexus. Kaitlynn exhaled loudly soon as she sat down. "Okay manna," Jackie said indignantly, "you better start talking now." Kaitlynn smiled really wide, "I wasn't in the bathroom." "Yeah, I figured that out dumbass," Jackie couldn't help smiling too, Kaitlynn had that sort of effect on people, "Where were you?" Kaitlynn shrugged casually, "You're lucky I'm an amazing friend," she winked, "and a snoop." Jackie looked at her quickly, confused before turning her eyes back on the road, "What?" Kaitlynn laughed, "You're slow sometimes manna," she pulled out her iPod, "Niall and Josh were outside right? Talking about you obviously, right?" "Ri-i-ight," Jackie was starting to see where this was going. "Well since I'm a good friend," Kaitlynn was drawing it out, "and also a someone with sickeningly low moral standards," she snickered and dangled her iPod in front of her like a prize, "I recorded the whole conversation for you." Jackie almost drove into a street lamp.
