"Marlo and I will pick you up at 5:30 okay?" Jackie called after Kaitlynn, who was hurrying up her front steps. "Ooh I love Marlo's car! Kay bye!" she yelled back as Jackie started driving back to her house. She'd asked Marlo and her nice red convertible to drive them to the airport. Marlo was the only friend who knew why they were leaving right now, and she'd been ecstatic. God, she was gonna have to pack fast. After some time, Jackie pulled into her parents cramped garage. She stared at the piles of stuff in wonder, they might finally be able to pay for someone to clean it. Hell, she might finally buy a working washer and dryer! Jackie grinned, no more creepy laundromats...She ran up the brick steps and into her house excitedly, "Mom! Dad!" she was almost beside herself, "I need to paaack!" She ran into the kitchen and jumped on her surprised father, "Did they call you? Huh? HUH?"Jackie jumped up and down excitedly. "Yeah" Harold smiled at her, "I'm so proud of you, baby." Jackie hugged him again, "Thanks dad." Harold chuckled, "I always knew you'd make it," he kissed the top of her head affectionately, "Just never thought it'd be because of your little 'One Direction,'" he said mockingly. Jackie slapped his arm and ran to her parents' room, she shared a clothes closet with her mom. "Mom!!" Jackie was looking around frantically, "Where's the suitcase?!" "How about 'hi mom'?" Carolyn appeared in the doorway with a smile, "Under the bed," she crossed her arms, "And I know you're famous now, but remember, don't make those weird faces when you hit the high notes," her voice was stern, but Jackie knew she was proud. Jackie scoffed, "I won't jeez," and dragged a somewhat dusty red suitcase from under the bed. They hadn't traveled in forever...Jackie and her mother quickly raided the closet, packing Jackie's favorite clothes. She showered and dressed comfortably, in soft black leggings and a sheer blue top with her favorite silver hoop earrings. And of course, Josh's sweatshirt. Carolyn fussed over her still damp hair, doing one loose braid on each side of her head. A car horn honked from outside. Jackie looked up, then heard music blasting, "If only you saw what I could see..." she grinned. Marlo. After a quick layer of mascara and heartfelt goodbyes with her family, Jackie grabbed her suitcase and ran outside. "We love you!" Carolyn yelled after her, "Be amazing!" Marlo squealed as Jackie got in the passenger side, "OH MY GOD JACKIE!" Jackie laughed, "Just drive, we're gonna be late!" Marlo flipped her chestnut colored hair as they sped away, "Whooooo!" Jackie checked her watch, only an hour left.
