Jackie followed Josh down the hallway, wondering how in the world she'd gotten herself into this situation. Sure, Jackie had fantasized about meeting the boys and Josh, and somehow getting to marry him, just like any other fangirl. She'd been in love with someone she'd never met, someone she'd never even THOUGHT she would meet. Then came the day she actually MET him, and it turned out he had a very pretty and very rich girlfriend. Jackie sighed and shook her head, she might have to move on eventually. But...she didn't know if she could. "...Jackie?" They were standing in that cursed little corner again, Josh looking at her expectantly. Jackie rubbed her temples, "Sorry, what'd you say? I'm a bit distracted." Josh smiled shyly, "It's okay, I was actually saying sorry for uh," he paused as if choosing his next words carefully, "Hitting on you?" he laughed his cute little laugh and Jackie couldn't help but smile. "No, I'M sorry," she looked into his eyes, "I mean, I'm the one who KISSED you," Jackie threw her hands in the air for emphasis, "You have the right to be angry." Josh studied her, "I'm not angry...." he paused when Jackie raised her eyebrows at him but continued, "Look, I can't explain it, but..." he grabbed her hands and drew her closer, "I mean, I've only just met you...but," Jackie felt her heartbeat quicken, her cheeks getting warm...no. She pulled away sadly, "No, this can't work," her heart was screaming for her to stop, but her mouth kept going, "You have a girlfriend. You can't cheat on her," Like you said, you've just met me, we..." her breath caught but she steadied herself, "we can both move on, really, it's for the best..." she started walking away, tears stinging her eyes and heart heavy with longing. But before the first tears could fall, strong arms encircled her waist. "No," Josh's voice whispered in her ear, "I want to make this work," he spun her around to face him, "and I don't give a fuck what's best," he gently wiped her tears away before pressing his mouth to hers this time. Jackie closed her eyes and tilted her head, deepening the kiss. She felt him smile against her lips. She didn't know what to think, all she felt was...Josh. His arms around her, his--she heard the unmistakable clicking sound of high heeled boots...then that horrible whiny voice, "JOSH?!"
