Hey people! I am three days late for publishing since I was continuously binge-watching The Walking Dead. Lol. I finished four seasons in a week. Summer is going on and I'm super bored. So I might as well be publishing more chapters in the following week. 😉
Love,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI woke up feeling completely refreshed and energised. This was new since most of the times, I always woke up sore. I glanced at the clock and it read 9:30. I had obviously planned to get up much earlier since I still had to pack a couple of things. I wanted to sleep in a bit more though. So that's what I did.
I woke up ten minutes later from my little nap. I wen to the washroom, put on my outfit for the day and went for breakfast. I found my dad reading his daily newspaper and my mom was on the phone. "Good morning!" Casey squealed as she burst through the front door with her gigantic suitcase in hand. "Casey, do you seriously have some sort of an enemity pact with my doors?" I asked and she laughed. "Hello Case! Breakfast?" Dad asked. "Thanks but no. Dad already stuffed me with everything available in our fridge." She sat down on our couch.
"So everything packed, girls?" My mom asked as she kept her phone down. "Almost. I just have to arrange my backpack." I said. "I'll help!" Casey offered. "Well, do it quick." With that, mom called someone else on her phone.
"Grab the passport and the pink book." I instructed Casey as she picked up my stuff and placed it neatly in my bag. I scavenged through my wardrobe and put in a black t-shirt with blue jeans. In case of an emergency, I like to keep my supplies in hand. I put in a bottle of water, cookies, first-aid kit and finally, a knife. It was impossible to tell what it was since it looked like a nail-cutter. "Woah! Looks like the captain is ready for war." Casey said. "Shut up." I threw my jeans at her and she kept it in the bag. I was carrying a medium sized suitcase and a black bag. I kept all my outfits with other necessities in my suitcase. I liked to travel light while Casey packed her entire room and stuffed it into her giant suitcase which, by the looks of it, could also fit in regular sized human beings.
"All set?" Dad asked as he walked in. "Yes. Do we really have to leave three hours earlier for the flight?" Casey whined. "Yes. Unless you want to miss your flight. In that case, we can watch some tv." Dad laughed. I pulled Casey off my bed and dragged her out to our car. Uncle Mark, Aunt Courtney and the twins were already there. "Stay safe girls!" Aunt Courtney said as she pulled me into a gigantic hug. "Call us every day. Okay?" Uncle Mark pulled me in. I fit in like a teddy bear against his tall frame.
"Seatbelt's on!" Dad yelled as he pulled out from our garage. "We know dad." I said as I helped Casey fit in her huge pink backpack which was loaded with unnecessary stuff.
The ride to the airport was pretty quiet. It was an hour long drive. Thanks to Atlanta's fast moving roads. Casey was busy texting god knows who and my mom was busy texting her colleagues. She is a workaholic. If you couldn't already tell. She loves to work more than anything else in the world. If she could've, she would've married her job. She is the chief editor of the newspaper company. Their newspapers circulate throughout the country, so they're pretty famous. But my mom always writes or edits under her pen name. On asking her, she dismisses it. That is a mystery I would like to solve. My dad is a senior architect in one of the, apparently, most prestigious apartment building company in the country. Money flows in our family pretty easily. But we never like to splurge on expensive stuff. We prefer living the normal middle-class life along with the other eighty percent of the world.
There were only a few cars on the road near the airport, which meant that everybody was probably off for summer vacations. Dad parked our car along another shiny white BMW. The white and black BMW's were twinning.
"Oh god! My baby's all grown up and traveling on her own! Last time, you were just five!" My mom started bawling. Something definitely switched on her obnoxious motherly side. "Soph, really?" Dad asked as he rolled his eyes. "Go on girls. Your flight leaves in ten minutes." Dad announced as he pushed us off into the airport. "Bye dad! I'll miss you!" I yelled. "Me too!" Casey yelled besides me, making me laugh.
"Alright then. Terminal three." I said as we checked in. "Flight 116 to Morocco takes off on five minutes." The robotic voice of a flight attendant announces. "Hurry up!" Casey shouts at me as we sprint to our terminal. We sigh in relief as we see that the doors haven't closed up yet.
Casey dumps in both our backpacks as I take the window seat. The plane is decently crowded with a few empty seats. "Hello! I am Tristy and I'll be your flight attendant for today. Do you need anything?" An Asian looking woman asked me and Casey. "Just bottled water." Casey replied for me. "Coming right up." She nodded and smiled as she set off. "The elixir of life right?" I asked Casey and she giggled.
Just as the attendants were about to close the door, a deep voice yelled, "Hey! Wait up!" I have no clue why, but my head shot up from my screen and stared at the source of the voice.
A boy, about fifteen or sixteen, with crazy curly black hair walked in. He was wearing a white t shirt with a leather jacket and black jeans. He was closely followed by a woman with flaming orange hair. I was debating myself on whether it was her real hair or not. "OMG! Her hair dye looks so cool!" Casey quietly hushed besides me. "It's so crazy. It looks amazing." I said. The lady's eyes quickly caught mine and she flashed a smile. I smiled back. I had just realised that I had been staring at her the entire time. She sat down three seats away, towards the other window, her eyes not faltering from mine. "Here are your bottles." Our attendant said as she handed us chilled bottles. At the moment, I was so glad that she was there. "We will be taking off in a minute. Please put on your seatbelts." The pilot announced. Me and Casey put ours on and I made a mental note to not glance at the lady and the guy. I succeeded. "We are now officially in the air." The pilot said. I whipped out my laptop, plugged in my earphones and scrolled through YouTube and NetFlix.
We were soon floating in a sea of fluffy clouds.
