I stood there in shock for what seemed like an eternity. The man jumped up the sheds and disappeared in thin air. My hand and feet were wobbling and I pinched myself. Wanting it all to be a dream. The questions soon started circling my head. Why did the man want me? Why was I so important? I'm just the most regular girl, so, why? Why did the woman do what she did? Why did she lie for me?

I was still in a trance when a voice from behind me made me jump. "I know you saw that." I spun around and was face-to-face with the same woman. She looked completely normal now and her long orange hair rested behind her shoulders. I had so many questions to ask her. But only one came out of my mouth. "Who are you?" I almost stammered. "Sasha Welmer." She said as she put her hand out. I slowly gathered my courage and confidence and shook her hand. She flashed me a million-dollar smile. "Rayne Hills." I replied, my voice super shaky. She laughed. A melodic laugh. "I know exactly who you are. I have known you since the minute you were born." She replied, still smiling. "How do you know me?" I questioned again. "That's a very long story. Your mother doesn't want to tell you the truth. So I will have to. But now is not the time or the place." She said and I nodded. "I know where you're staying. Do you mind having me over tonight?" She hopefully asked me. I didn't hesitate since there were definitely more threats for me out there and for some reason, I felt like I knew her too. "Yeah. Okay." I managed to tell her. Her face lit up. "I'll be there at half past twelve. Keep you window open." With that, she was off.

I was still partially shaking when Casey finally came out. "You look like you've seen either Batman or The Joker in person." She laughed. I mentally cursed her for making fun of my situation. "I'm claustrophobic." I quickly replied. I knew she wouldn't question me about that. "Where's our car?" She asked as she kept her sanitiser in her bag. "There it is!" I yelled in delight as the Mercedes pulled up next to us. We hopped into the back seat. "I take it, you and a good day?" He asked us in his usual jolly voice. "Yes we did." I replied. The shock had finally worn off by now.

We reached the hotel in twenty minutes and headed straight to the reception. "Here are your keys." The receptionist handed us the pair of keys. "Thanks." Casey took them and headed back. I stayed behind and instructed them, "If anyone comes to ask about either of us, can you kindly tell them that you don't have any reservations in the name of Hills?" Surprisingly, they didn't eye me with suspicion and said "Ofcourse." I flashed them a smile and made my way towards our villa. Casey was sitting on the doorstep waiting for me. "I'm so exhausted! Do you have any sleeping pills?" She asked me. "Why do you want sleeping pills? Lie on your bed for a while. You'll be asleep in no time. No one can beat you in napping." I chuckled. "I'll try." She went back to her room. I double locked all doors and windows throughout the villa but specially in my room. All except the main window. The breeze was great and was lulling me. I freshened up and wore my comfortable clothes. I called my mom first.

"Hi Rayne! How are you? How's Casey? Everything good?" She asked me. "Yeah mom. We're all fine." I said, sounding a bit exhausted. "Don't stress yourself too much. What happened?" I debated on whether I should tell her about my encounter with Sasha or not. I decided not to tell her until I got solid information. "Nah. We've just been running around town." "Well, take rest today and tomorrow. I don't want either of you getting sick." She replied, satisfied by my answer. "Okay mom." "Bye hon. Take care!" "Bye!" And with that, I hung up. I was really exhausted and my body desperately needed rest. But my mind was wandering around.

Despite what I told Casey, I took out my bottle of sleeping pills and took two with chilled water. With five minutes, I was in deep sleep.

When I woke up, my room was completely dark and I could feel something move next to me. I almost jumped from fright. I moved my blankets and found Casey sleeping next to me. Which probably means that she got scared or couldn't sleep and snuck into my room. I fished out my phone from under my pillow and the time read eleven fifty. Which meant that Sasha would be here in ten minutes. I was not at all hungry but decided to snack on a banana anyway.

I headed downstairs and all the lights were off. Casey had always had a peculiar habit of switching lights off. I didn't bother flicking them on and grabbed my snack. I headed upstairs and took the room next to mine.

As I was scrolling through the news feed, there was a tap on the verandah door. Sasha had asked me to keep my window open. I hurried to open it up now. In front of me was the exact same brown wolf I had seen earlier. The wolf hopped into the room and the sound of cracking bones filled the entire room. Within a second, Sasha stood there instead of the wolf.

"How did you get up here?" I asked her when I realised that we were a floor up. "Werewolf skills." She said with a grin. "You owe me a big fat explanation." I said as I plopped down on the bed. She sat next to me. "Okay. So let's start small. I'm pretty sure I will get a good earful from your mother and grandmother once they find out that I was the one to reveal all this to you. I am a werewolf. So is your mom and grandmother." She said.

My mind was officially fully blown.
