I woke up the next morning at four. My heart was racing for no known reason and my adrenalin was over the roof. "Case! Wake up! You'll be late!" I yelled as I shook her. "Oh shit!" She sat up. I laughed as she scurried along. "You already packed your stuff last night. Remember?" I asked her as she panicked. "Phew! Thank god!" She calmly went into the washroom.

I had no valid explanation or idea why I was so excited and nervous. I felt like an elephant was rampaging through my stomach. I decided that it was no use staying in bed and got dressed after Casey exited the washroom. "Why are you up so early?" She asked me as she put on her shoes. "I just couldn't sleep. I'm excited and nervous for no reason." "Hmm..." She said as she struggled with her shoe lace. I wore a black t shirt with light blue jeans. I realised that I may need a denim jacket if I decided to go outside. "Here." Casey threw me her dark blue jacket. "How'd you know?" I was pleasantly surprised. "You're an open book, Ray." She chuckled.

There was a gentle knock on the door and I jumped to open it. It was Camerine. "Ms Casey, the jet is waiting." She announced. "Coming!" She yelled. I helped her put her backpack on and went downstairs with her. Sasha, Jake, Rome, Josh and Anahita were already there. "Good morning!" Anahita chirped at both of us. "Morning!" I replied. My adrenalin was still over the roof for no damn reason. "Our pilot is waiting. We have to leave now." Sasha said as they all hurried towards the door.

"Ethan should be here any minute now. Take care Rayne. If you have any problem, call me at once. Okay?" Sasha hugged me as she sat in the black SUV. "Bye guys!" I shouted as the car rolled out.

I went back into the house and Camerine shut the door behind me. Heading back to my room, I called my parents. "Ray!?" Dad almost screamed into his phone just after a single ring. "Yup. It's me." I laughed. "How are you, baby?" He asked, a bit calmer now. "I'm fine dad. Completely fine." I replied. "Well, that's good news. Your mother will be so relieved. And we're terribly sorry for not telling you this. We were planning to tell you on your birthday but Soph-" I cut him off. "It's okay dad. Really. Sasha told me everything. But you shouldn't hide such important stuff from me, you know." "I know, Ray. Try to get that into your mom." He laughed. "I miss you." I said, sounding sad. "I know. Me too." He sighed. "I have to go pick up your mom from work. Take care!" He said. "You too dad!" I hung up.

I was in my room balcony by now and the sun had already come up. The morning air was crisp and cold. The birds hadn't come out yet. That meant it was relatively very early in the morning. I was lost in thoughts when a sudden noise startled me. "Camerine! What are you doing here!?" I snapped at her once I made out who it was. "Sorry Ms Hills. I didn't mean to startle you." She said. She looked very grim and suspicious. I stepped back into my balcony. "Why are you here?" I asked her. She didn't reply and still kept coming forward. I inched my way further towards the railing. "Stop! Now!" I yelled out loud as she kept coming forward. It felt like my heart was in my throat. I was still human and the long fall could easily do tough damage since we were two stories up. "Why are you doing this!?" I shouted. "I'm just doing what I'm supposed to. Your highness." She twisted her last words. Within a flash of a second, Camerine was gone. Instead of her, there stood a brown wolf.

"I have to jump." I thought to myself. "Better that then she killing me with claws." My brain asked me to jump, but I was frozen with fear. The wolf growled and it moved closer. Dangerously close.

It tried to claw me. I dodged it and in the process, ended up falling off. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact with a solid ground. Falling was not scary, the final impact was. It felt like I kept falling forever. I expected to land on hard material and my brain would explode to pieces. Instead, I was engulfed with warmth.

I quickly opened my eyes, wondering whether I was in heaven and landed on a cloud. Well, I was very wrong.

"Hello, your highness."
