Hi loves! This is a short chapter. I didn't want to dump more information here though. This is the second chapter I've written today. You can say that I'm in author mood. 😉

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI wish I could tell you that I slept like a baby that night. Well, I didn't. I kept twisting and turning and staring at the new piece of jewellery on my right hand ring finger. I didn't really want to sleep that night. So I decided to text Tammy.
Hey! Are you awake Tams?
-RayOfcourse! Can't keep the birthday girl waiting for a reply now can we?
-TamsMy mom just gave me the most beautiful ring I've ever seen! And I have more news!! I'm going to Morocco and London!!!
-RayOMG!!! Aahhhh! That is great! I'm so happy for you girl!
-TamsI'll miss you though.
-RayYou better. I'm going to sleep now. Bye Ray!
-TamsBye Tammy!
-Ray"I don't want to tell her myself!" I heard my mom yelling down the hallway. I sat up straight. My mom was a very calm person. So having two outbreaks in a single day obviously didn't mean good news. I put on my fluffy slippers and made my way out.
"Did we wake you up,baby?" Dad asked as I came in sight. "Yes. What are you guys bickering about?" I questioned as I eyed my mom who was currently sitting with her head in her hands.
My dad was about to reply but my mom cut him short. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing." "Oh come on Soph! We will have to tell her eventually! Why not now?" He said. "Tell me what?" I interrupted. My mom looked up "Alright. Rayne, would you like meeting your grandmother?"
I was absolutely taken aback by this question. She had barely ever mentioned her mother and now wanted to know if I was willing to meet her! This was partially outrageous but I decided to take the civil path and reciprocate.
"Yeah. I guess. I mean she doesn't suck people's blood or her name isn't Draculaura right?" Mom chuckled. "Ofcourse not baby. It's just that, it's been a very long time since we last talked. She contacted me and said that she wanted to talk to you." "She wants to talk to me?" I asked, the surprise evident in my voice. "Yes. She wanted to know if you could meet her in London when you reach." Dad added. "I have no problem with that." I said. My dad and mom shared a silent stare before she spoke up. "Okay then. That's all settled. I'll tell her that her granddaughter wants to meet her as well." With that, she urged me to go back to my room.
The conversation didn't help me sleep. However, after a while, the gentle sound of the ticking clock lulled me into a slumber.
