I went back to my RV after we raced home. I felt good, knowing how Soda was feeling, and that's he's better now. I gave Soda a hug right before I left.

"What was that for?" He asked as we pulled away.

"I don't know. I'm just glad that I'm part of your family."

"You always were, you just didn't believe it. Everyone in the gang loves you, and so does Pony. He don't shut up 'bout you." He smiles his famous smile at me.

I smile back, feeling content. I remember kissing Ponyboy goodnight and leaving. That takes me to where I am right now, almost home.

When I get to my lot, I see a gray, beat up car sitting in front of my grass. I shake it off, thinking it's probably my neighbors, and walk inside.

That's when I almost fainted. Walking in, I saw my mother sitting at my small kitchen table.

"Hello Sarah."
