Dark and watery, just as it was a couple of minutes ago or hours or days, whatever time passed in this place.

I didn't know why I was here or where here was. I've been here since, well, even that I've forgotten. Hades wasn't here which was strange. I was alone for forever it would seem.

Oh and I was naked.

Yeah, this place was dark and water laid on the floor coming to my chest. From what I could tell I was naked. By the time I woke up, my body was already used to the temperature of the water which saved me the trouble of getting my balls frozen off.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. Even that was weird. That action. My hair had changed, but I couldn't see how. My hair had changed, but I couldn't see how. Then it would be a problem.

Oh right, it's Jake Thales here.

"And why am I hear?" I shouted into the oblivion. Nothing came back, not even an echo.

My nightmares echoed in the abyss when it was quiet which was all the time. Nightmares about Caitlyn, imaginary fights with Zoe that I never had with powers I never had. Almost like a weird live viewing of a movie but a nightmare.

"Well th-", I didn't hear the rest because being alone made me jumpy. When I heard the voice, I got such a fright that blood rushed my head.

I whirled around to see what had happened. The figure had been thrown back by a wall of water that I had somehow manipulated. The figure didn't appear to be hurt just merely dodged the attack. Still neither of us expected it.

"Well, you've grown stronger since I've last seen you." said the figure. He walked closer (on top of the water) and light seemed to illuminate from him, allowing me to see him clearer.

"Uncle? Uncle is that you?", I asked and indeed it was him. He laughed and grabbed my hand and pulled me above the water.

"Yes, my boy, it's me."my uncle Mason hugged me, despite my wet naked body.

"How are you here? Last I saw, you were heading to Cairo." I stumbled through my words. These right here readers was the uncle that convinced me to join The Remnants.

"It is a sad tale. The god, Set, would not let me leave alive but none of that. How are you my boy?" He asked sincerely but I knew better. If he was here then, it was for something important.

"Why are you here, Uncle?" I asked instead.

"I am here because you are trapped but I'm sure you worked that out already." He answered.

"Yes, where is here?" I asked again.

"Jake here is here." He pointed at my flat stomach. "You are inside your body, a prison made by your god."

Hades made a prison for me inside my own stomach? Well okay, how do I get out of here then?

"If Hades made this prison then how am I supposed to get out here? I don't have power without a god." my uncle laughed at my statement.

"You have no power, you say? You are a Thales, my boy. The gods sought us out for our power. We had power way before the gods."

"But it doesn't matter now, uncle because we've forgotten that power. We relied on gods so long we don't know our own power. How does that forgotten power that I do not know how to use help me?" I countered.

"Well let's see; the first Thales to use the power of the gods was Trigon's host, the only Titan son of Saturn. Our clan was massive, but it was easily tracked throughout history. And do you know who our founding father was?"

"His name was Kimo Telikós, wasn't it? The first Thales?" I guessed though history was my strong point. My uncle laughed again.

"He was the first, yes, but he wasn't our founding father. I'm talking about his father. Do you know him?" My uncle enlightened me.

"Wasn't he like a Titan or something? One of the good ones, obviously." I couldn't get his name. It was frustrating.

"His name, Jake, was Exodus. He is the Greek equivalent of the Roman Titan, Trigon, the only Titan son of Kronos. He was the Titan of life, the good parts of life. Trigon was the evil parts of life in contrast. The point is we come from both of them combine, good and bad of life. We had powers and now it's time for you to find and use them."

"But how? I have nothing here. " I shouted at him. He took a step back taking the light with him.

"You're a Thales; you can do it." and with that he faded and I was sucked into darkness.

Okay, life was pretty much everything. What would be it's power then? Life was pretty much anything so does that mean the power was just one thing? And if not was it some things combined into one? This was too much.

I started flipping out. I was a kid, a fifteen year old. How was I supposed to figure this out? I've been through a lot in my life, but this was too much.

But then I remembered Zoe, the day we became official. She had come to my room the morning after we had defeated Caitlyn and hugged me. I let my sorrow out that day and after that Zake was born. I remembered the day I gave her my clothes because she didn't want to leave my room. She had smiled and blushed so much it was the best thing I could possibly of witnessed. Or at least I thought. That was before I bought her a car for our first anniversary then that look paled in comparison.

Then the answer hit me. Life was the good and the bad. Trigon and Exodus as one. Everything within it, I can control. Just like my nightmares.

I looked up. I had one thing in my mind, to get out. First red light erupted from all corners, the water then began to steam. In the distance, sounds of walls coming down echoed. My hair, I could finally see, instantly turned from stark white to its normal black.

Suddenly, I shot straight up into the light.

Ha, into the light, get it?
