After a grueling parental interrogation of where I've been and what I've been doing, plus getting my brother unattached from me, I finally got to my room.

It was still the same. The walls were dark purple with one, a feature wall, green. My bed was in the middle, the window by its end. A mirror and chalkboard hung on the far wall. There was a table in one corner that held a stereo. No pictures or nothing, the way I like it.

I decided to connect my phone and play my playlist. I opened the window and felt Jake's presence on the roof. I turned the volume up before climbing onto the roof.

Definitely not the most dangerous thing I've ever done.

He was laying all casual like. The wind was chilly but he was warm, his black eyes gazing at the polluted sky. His hair caught in the wind.

I laid next to him and watched the sky. Then I waved my hand and the stars shone through the pollution.

"Hmm, perks of being the goddess of the night." Jake mumbled, and I gave him a sheepish smile.

"Your really going to stay up on my roof?" I asked him. He nodded.

"Helps with my wattpad status of becoming a bad boy. Never know when I will get a book written about me."

I rolled my eyes. "Please, if they made a wattpad book I'd be the main character."

"Yeah and what would it call?" He asked.

"Nyx's Partner?" I suggested but he shook his head.

"Night's Partner." He smiled. I smiled too. You'd swear he had a talent for this thing.

He grabbed me by my arms and pulled me into his chest. I laid my head in his neck.

"You know it's my birthday next week, " Jake said, catching me off guard. ", and I was thinking of treating myself."

"I thought your birthday passed?" I asked. He nodded.

"Technically, it did, but I was so used to Hades taking over that I allocated myself another day."

"Oh, yeah?" He made my curiosity peak. "What did you want to do next week?"

"I was thinking to say something important to this girl I know. I'm just waiting for the right moment."

I turned, so I could look at him and he liked it since his arms went sneakily down my lower back.

"And what if the right moment is now?" I asked.

"What makes you think this girl is you?" He joked. I knew he was joking.

"Because I'm the only one for you." I smiled at my answer. He smiled as well.

In the background, the song All the stars by Kendrick Lamar and Sza played. One of my favorites and right there and then I knew it was the perfect song to end my day.

"I love you, Zoe Natalie Nyx." He whispered into my ear, and I was ecstatic. My heart was beating tremendously fast, and I loved it.

"I love you too, Jake Isaac Thales"

And after he mumbled how he hated his second name, he kissed the heavens out of me-to Sza's voice.
