"How did you escape?" Hades croaked. His voice filled the destroyed city.

"I'm a Thales." He said proudly. I missed his voice so much. "It was just a matter of time before I escaped."

"How is there two of you?" Psyche asked while I couldn't even get a word out.

"Our bond is something very powerful. I can only imagine what one can do with it." He told us but he was facing me. In a flash, he was beside me.

I'm glad he didn't touch me or kiss me. It would make things weird. After all, all the things that happened I had blamed it on Jake not thinking that Hades was in control. Now they were two different people, and I owed him an apology. But later.

"Indeed it is." Hades agreed as he rubbed his throat. "Our bond, our connection, has been built on years of pain and love. So much turmoil and sacrifice. That is why I used it to trap you. It's a miracle you even escaped."

"Our connection is strong, but a connection is a two-way street. It needs two inputs to keep it stable. You trapping me with our connection was pointless once I figured it out because it was only half as strong." Jake threw back. I made a 'time out' gesture.

"Okay, so he used your connection to trap you and after you figured it out, you escaped?" Jake nodded.

"It doesn't matter!" Hades interrupted. His giant had decreased in size greatly, but he was as angry as ever. "I will still kill everyone that caused Persephone harm. I will kill everyone that caused me pain."

With those words, he grew in size until he was as tall as a skyscraper and a building wide. This wasn't a energy giant; this was flesh and god. He roared and stared at us. My giant was small in comparison.

"And now, weaklings, do you plan to stop me?" He grinned. He wasn't like other giants. He was still handsome.

Jake looked at me and gave me a heart stopping smile. "Well Zake, shall we?"

I looked at Hades again. With Jake by my side, he didn't look like much of a challenge. Just another day with my Thales.

Zake.

I smiled at Jake. The smile held a message he will always receive, but I'm not about to tell you what it is. Jake turned and grew his own full humanoid. Unlike mine, his grew over the tops of broken buildings, he was in the middle of the chest. It was a strange combination of green and red, clad in armour, a shield and sword in each hand both flaming in black flames. A weird but strangely scary sight. Hades seemed to agree since he took a step back.

I forced another wave of energy forcing mine to also grow but it was still small in comparison to Jake's.

"That's impossible. You're not hosting a god; you shouldn't have powers." Hades rambled in fear. Jake's giant spread his arms high. The sky opened up to reveal a sunset that seemed to focus on Jake.

"I am a Thales, and I was a son of Exodus before I was the godling of you, Hades." Jake's giant grabbed my giants hand and hurtled me towards Hades.

He was so stunned that he couldn't even counter my blades. As a result, they went deep into his chest. He howled and before he could even regain some composure, Jake's hand was again on my elbow. In one swift motion, it pulled me out of Hades and with the other fist he punched the hell out of Hades. It was literally so hard that buildings and me flew back from the energy. Hades didn't fly back because Jake's fist had got lodged within his chest. Hades thrashed but couldn't seem to get the arm out of his chest.

"You bastard." He spat out. He was weak without Jake, a sorry excuse for a god. "You can't do it, can you? You went through hell with me, Jake. We were each others brothers. You are the only one that can understand. Please, Jake, join me again."

Silence filled the broken city. For a minute I watched Jake. He didn't change for what felt like hours but was actually seconds then his giant changed, the red taking dominance.

I remember from grandpa Ted's story that Exodus was some powerful titan or something and when I was researching about Nyx, I found out Trigon was the titan of evil. I first thought it was Raven's father from Teen Titans but he was apparently worse. He was the Roman equivalent of Exodus, the titan of life, the only titan of the evil titan king, Kronos. Apparently he ate his children as a living. Trigon was the evil version of Exodus, the part his father probably would've wanted to know before he died. He apparently ravaged the whole world overnight. The Titan of Life. Also, one of the descendants of Thales hosted Trigon and had slain my entire family during WW2. Something I tended to remember as I had seen him do it and even though it was through a vision, I could still feel the terrible aura radiating from him.

And that's what I felt from Jake now. It occurred to me that Jake was an embodiment of both Exodus and Trigon but when he got angry he was more Trigon than ever.

"Just like everything, Hades, you ruined it. And it isn't my place to kill you." Jake pulled out his arm and threw him down in front of me.

He was mine to kill.

Hades couldn't move as well as before. I immediately ran both of my blades in his shoulder blades. Once again, he howled.

"You'll rott in your palace without your beloved queen." And with that I snapped his neck. Harsh, I know but he deserved it.

It was over.

It was over.

And I cried into Jake's chest.

It

Finally

Over
