Chapter 22

"KATNISS?!" She screams down the phone "Yeah mum, it's me!" I tell her with a smile, "W..what wrongs? You never call me?" She asks me, "I have a lot to tell you, first off I'm engaged to Peeta and second....you're a grandmother" the other end of the line goes silent... "A..a grandmother?" She asks, "Yeah mum! Me and Peeta have to beautiful babies, Willow and Finnick, they're twins!" I reply. "Wow, can I see them soon?" She asks, I turn to Peeta and he shrugs, "Yeah sure, me and Peeta would love for you to visit!" I tell her whilst looking at Peeta. "So...when's the wedding?" She asks, "Th..the wedding is umm-" I stop and look at Peeta and mouth "When's the wedding?" He mouths back "tell her it's next week" "okay" I say, "It's next week so maybe you could come down in a couple of days time?" I ask hoping she'll agree... "That's perfect Katniss, I'll ring when I'm leaving" she says and then hangs up the phone. Me and Peeta walk into the kitchen and he begins to make some cheese buns. I can't believe my mother is coming to our wedding next week. Wait?... Did I just say next week? "NEXT WEEK?" I shout at Peeta, he just smiles at me, "Yeah next week" he tells me whilst walking over to where I'm sitting, "I thought I'd tell you whilst you where on the phone" he tells me with a smile, "why when I'm in the phone" I ask him, "why? Because i knew that if I told you I wanted to get married next week you would've freaked out and not agreed whereas because you where on the phone you where to busy to realise what you just agreed to" he tells me whilst wiping a bit of flour onto my nose playfully from his finger. "Now you've agreed you can't take it back!" He says walking back over to the cheese buns. He's so cheeky!

He is right though, I wouldn't have agreed. So it looks like we're getting married next week! I get thrown from my thought when I hear glass smash upstairs, "KATNISS! PEETA!" I hear Johanna scream from upstairs, I run up the stairs with Peeta following behind me, we run straight into Willow and Finns room as that's where Johanna would be. We find Johanna with her back to the wall with blood all on her face which is heavily beaten up, the glass window has smashed and the twins aren't in their cots, "PEETA THE TWINS AREN'T IN THEIR COTS!!" I yell at him through my tears, "Kat...Katniss-" Johanna says whilst pointing to the window, "I..It was G..Gale" ....
