"Stay with me?"

Chapter 26

Katniss has been home for a week now, the twins are happy to see their mummy again after three months without her, Willows face just lit up when Katniss walked through the door, they're both coming up to six months! I walk into the living room to find Katniss looking through wedding magazines, "Hello beautiful, feeling better?" I ask her giving her a kiss on the lips, "Feeling a lot better, I have a question, when are we getting married?" She asks, I think about it for a bit then I reply, "Whenever you want it" I reply giving her a kiss on her forehead, "Okay...next week?" She says with a smile, "Sure why not" I say to her. I walk out into the kitchen to make us all some cheese buns, it's been pretty quite since Johanna left, I'm hoping shell be down soon to help with the wedding, I'll leave Katniss to do that as I don't know the first thing when it comes to weddings!

{3 days after}

(Katniss' pov)

I've spent the last 3 days planning the wedding, I need it to be perfect, I'm hoping for something little in the meadow with my close friends and family. I will have Willow as my flower girl and Johanna as my maid of honour, Finn will be the ring boy but I'm not too sure who Peeta will pick for his best man? Peeta has been in the bakery all day with Finn, I decide to surprise him at work and show up with Willow. I get willow dressed into black trousers, a light green long sleeved top, a black pair of small hunting boots and a small hunting jacket that looks like mine. I walk over to the mirror still holding Willow, we look so alike, I can tell she's going to turn out like me, shes going to be a hunter.

We start walking to the bakery when something stops me, not something but someone. I know that face, I know it too well. I must be going mad? It couldn't be that person? They're meant to be dead. I look away and look back at the person making sure it's not an illusion. I'm knocked out of my daydream when someone starts talking to me, "Sweetheart are you okay? It looks like you've seen a ghost!" Oh it's only Haymitch, "Haymitch, take Willow over to the bakery for me, I need to...sort something out" I tell him as I hand Willow over. He doesn't question me, he does what I tell him to do and starts walking to the bakery. I start walking over to the person, their face starts to become more visible as I get closer to them. I hold out my hand ready to tap them on the shoulder when they spin round to face me, "The girl on fire, it's been to long!" They say, I can't get their name out properly, this can't be real! "YOU'RE MEANT TO BE DEAD!" I scream at them, they just smile, "I didn't die Katniss, I got beaten and tortured, but now I'm out" they're still smiling. "B..ut I saw them! I saw them k..kill you!" I scream at them, "No, you saw them beat me up, not kill me! I had to make it out alive because I still had my bet on you girl on fire"....
