"Stay with me?"

Chapter 28

(Peetas pov)

"Katniss! You should've stopped him from leaving!" I tell her, she finally looks up at me, "WHY? WHY SHOULD HE STAY?" She shouts at me, "You need to let him explain what happened, he came back to district 12 and he must have a reason why he came back" I tell her calmly, "He said why! He told me he came back because I was getting married to you!" She shouts, she gets up from the table and runs out the door crying.

(Katniss' pov)

I can't be with Peeta at the moment, I'll just keep shouting at him, it's not fair. I decide to walk home and see my babies, to calm down a bit. "Hi mum" I say as I walk into the living room, I can see my mum on the sofa playing with Willow while Finn is in his play pen, "Katniss honey, are you okay? You've been crying!" She tells me, she puts Willow in the play pen and walks over to me, she wraps her arms around my neck and give me a tight squeeze, she's never hugged me before, I think about this and it brings a tear to my eye. Before I know it I'm crying my eyes out. "Oh Katniss, have you and Peeta had an argument?" She ask me calmly, "No! Well sort off? I don't know!" I shout, I let go of my mum and walk to the couch. "What was the argument about?" She asks sitting next to me on the sofa, "We didn't really argue, I got annoyed, started shouting at Peeta for no reason, them i felt bad for shouting at him so I ran out of the bakery" I tell her, "Why where you angry?" She asks, "I..I saw C..Cinna...I'm the town" I say, I look up and see a smile in my mums face, "Why are you smiling?" I ask her, "Katniss! This is wonderful news! Cinna isn't dead...he's alive! He helped you through the games, he risked his life for you and payed for it!" She tells me excitedly. She has got a point..he did risk his life for me. "You're right mum, I should go and find him!" I tell her, I get up and head towards the front door "Lool after the twins for me!" I shout back as I head out the door.

I step one foot out the door when I freeze, I don't need to look for Cinna because he's right here...in front of me! I run over to him and wrap my arms around him, "A hug? From the girl on fire? Have I gone to a different planet?" He tells me sarcastically, "I was going to find you! How do you know where I live now?" I ask him, "I brought him here" a familiar voice tells me, Cinna let's go of me and moves to the side to reveal Peeta, he walks up to me, wraps his arms around me and kisses my forehead, "I'm sorry Peeta! I shouldn't have shouted at you, I feel awful!" I tell him with a tear running down my cheek, "you don't need to apologise Katniss! If someone I loved turned up who I though was dead I would react the same" he tells me, he gives me a kiss on the lips and walks inside to see the twins. I walk back over to Cinna and give him another hug, "I'm sorry I reacted like that, it was just so weird seeing you..alive!" I tell him, "So..do you want to come inside and meet my babies? And help me design my wedding dress?" I ask him hitting his arm playfully, he gives me a smile, "yes to both!" He replies, we both walk into the house hand in hand...
