Monday. The first day of a long week. My first class today is Art. It's a nice way to start the week but today I have 50 minutes of...how do I put this? Well it was interesting.

"How's Nate?" I started giggling slightly as I teased Eva. She seemed to be smiling, but it was hard to tell whether it was genuine or if she was plotting my death silently. Either way, it will be interesting. "I hate you," She says eventually - defiantly planning my death then "I don't even know, we can't talk to each other. I want to but..."

"Yeah I know how you feel. Just sing him that song you wrote the other day," Eva looked over at me, confused, "I heard you singing it in the bathroom at Izzy's. It's really good, honest. You got this girl!"

Eva gave me a brief but grateful smile and hugged me before we started designing. Thank goodness art is one of my strong points otherwise I would find myself being extremely embarrassed all of the time. Especially when I'm going out the person sat next to me...

As if on cue, Evan turned up next and strolled to the seat next to me. "You're late Evan! The lesson started 5 minutes ago." Miss Dawn seemed slightly agitated but not as used to it as you would think. Maybe Evan isn't normally that late. "Sorry Miss. Had to speak to my form tutor then go to student services to collect something."

Miss Dawn seemed to give him the benefit of the doubt and waved him off. When he had eventually unpacked, he turned to face me and I could feel my face heating up. "Hey Aria, how are you?"
"I'm good thanks, you?"
"Yeah I'm ok. Listen I was just wondering if you fancied meeting me at the back field at lunch?"

I wasn't fully engaged in the conversation until he said that. Did Evan just ask me out on a date? In school? "Erm, yeah sure. I don't think me and the girls are doing anything later, so I should be able to get away." I could see him trying to hide the smile on his face. It wasn't working.

"Great! It's a date...Erm, I mean. Whatever you want it to be. I didn't."
"Evan, it's fine. Honestly." I laughed slightly as Evan looked away, clearly embarrassed. I embraced him in the quickest hug known to mankind and got back to my work. I soon got engrossed in a conversation with Mia and Bonnie (I'm getting slightly closer to her and she is really nice. But I don't think she's in our inner circle. Bonnie has a closer group of friends I think.)

Eva started looking sort of forlornly at me, I presumed it was about Nate. I hope she takes my advice. The bell rang to signal the end of first period, I had science next...Nate and Evan are in my class so I should be able to sort something out. Evan and Nate are good friends I think, as they are part of the 'popular crowd' at our school.

At Fallwood, if you are 'popular' it means that you think you're all that and go to parties every weekend and drink, smoke and do drugs. Apparently this all started in Year 8! Year 8! We are only in Year 9 now. As I took my seat, Nate started walking towards me. Perfect, I thought.

"Alright class, take your seats. We have an exciting exam today so exam conditions the whole 40 remaining minutes" Miss Sett (our science teacher) softly announced. All of a sudden, my plan becomes corrupt and I have no idea how I can talk to him for Eva.
