I stared at Eva in disbelief. How could she? She...she kissed Josh??!! I don't know who she is anymore. Eva didn't seem like the cheating type. But I'm the new girl so what would I know?
I warned her how snaky he is. Well it's done now...I hope. "What? When? Where? Why? I warned you! I told you!" My voice started increasing in volume and it led to Eva erupting into tears. All I want to do is give her a huge hug...I braced myself for the worst, but couldn't help myself. I engulfed her in a hug and burst out crying myself, remembering all of the horrible times me and Josh had together.
After a while, Eva and I trailed back to class. Medical wanted to send her home, but she was adamant she was staying. Eva briefed me on what happened last night: it's not good. As we walked through the door that leads into class, everyone's heads spun around to face us, questioning our every move.
We ignored them all and took our seats. The lesson dragged on, I didn't speak at all. What did I have to speak about? One person from my past has come to my present and is going to destroy everything I've built here. I should have known this was all too good to be true! Apparently, once you're a Westend kid, you're always a Westend kid! And that's not a good thing, especially when you are trying to get away.
Evan felt for my hand eventually and gave it a sympathetic squeeze. I looked at him and smiled. I laced my fingers with his and tried to focus on what Miss Dawn was saying, it wasn't working. "Alright class, for homework I want you to just relax for the week. I'll see you lot on Friday."
Well that was a first. As soon as the bell went, everyone raced out of the door.
"Eva, Aria could you stay behind a moment?" Miss asked, her voice calm.
Oh no. I slowly packed my things up then walked up to Miss' desk, Eva did the same.
"Whilst you two were at medical, I've been hearing some gossip about you two girls. It seemed extremely horrible and not something I'd consider you girls capable of..." So that's why everyone was staring at us.
"Miss do you know what they were saying?" I asked.
"I'm not going to repeat it Aria, but you two girls watch your backs, and be careful please. You can go now"
I tried to think. Who hates us? Who wants their revenge? Who is the biggest gossip spreader? Who lives off of creating dramatic rumours? Caitlin! She must know something, she's the biggest rumour spreader in the school.
"Leave Aria alone!"
I could hear screaming from outside and then various gasps.
"Stop please! What's going on?"
I ran outside to find...
