We were all a bit stunned that Kitty and Jake were holding hands. They have always had a close friendship, but we hadn't realised it was this close...
When I turned around earlier, I saw Izzy and Cal kiss. I've never seen Izzy looking so awkward. I think she saw me though. We decided to go back to Madison's after we had worn out he park as my parents are home tonight. Yeah, I'm not seeing them....you could say I'm avoiding my family but I don't care!
"So, Kitty have you got anything you want to tell us?" Kitty glared at me and then came out with "Meow" Ugh, really Kitty? Everyone else erupted in laughter. She smirked at me as we walked through Madison's front door. We all collapsed on the sofa, no one knew what we should do next. The silence wasn't awkward it was comfortable which was uncomfortable.
I haven't ever gotten along with half of these people before, I haven't even been at Fallwood long and I've made so many comfortable friendships! I looked around to see the smiles I'd become to know so well, after all the traumatic times at Westend it's nice to finally belong.
"Aria, I still can't believe we've only known you for a few weeks!" Madison said. I laughed in agreement, "I was just thinking about that. In all honesty, neither can I. I feel like I've known you guys all my life!" We all cringed, and laughed some more, it's nice to have friends who like me for me!
"Sooo, Eva how are you and Nate doing?"
She glanced at him, then a smile crept it's way on her face; "Good, well better than good!" They kissed softly, it was so sweet. Me and Evan glanced at each other and smiled, I always thought, and would like to think, that none of these people would ever betray me!We eventually settled in going for a walk and a picnic tea down by the creek behind the park. It's a magical place. The water glistens beneath the spring sun and you can hear all the sounds of nature. It's like a fairytale. I opened up the basket, got out the blanket, and set it down on the lush green grass. Daffodils surrounded us as Eva and Mads took out the food and lay it in the spare space away from the sunlight.
"We haven't know this place existed for very long." Evan says, noticing my awe at everything. "Us lot were sort of close before you joined so we went exploring in Year 8, that's when we found it but we never found time to visit it." Evan paused for a second then looked out across the water, "I wanted to introduce you to this place myself on our first date. When it happens...you are the one who has United our friendship, A. Thank you."
I smiled out him then planted a quick kiss on his lips. As the sun started to set, we gathered up our things to take back. I held the blanket in one hand and Evan's hand in the other. This was the perfect weekend and I'm probably going to treasure it forever!
When we were going into the clearing, I noticed a familiar figure walking towards us. At first, I didn't say anything because I didn't know for certain. But then, when the final specks of sunlight lit up his face...mine instantly dropped.
This significant figure of my past has reappeared. Not significant in any good way!
"Aria, hi! I've been looking everywhere for you!"
"Josh?!"
