I folded the note and placed it in my pocket, leaning into Evan's embrace. I've never felt so lonely but this note has given my a slight bit of hope that maybe all of this can be fixed. Well, I hope it can anyway.

"Believe me now?" He whispered as I slowly nodded my head. "I love you, Aria." I turned to face him as I leant in to kiss him. "I love you too, Evan."

When at last he convinced me to go back inside and talk to the girls, I was extremely hesitant. What on earth am I going to say? Everything just sounds idiotic and lame. I'm not really sure sorry is gonna cut this time. "Just tell them how you feel about everything. They can't really argue with that, now, can they?" Evan says after a few minutes. I take a second to consider it and it may be the smartest thing that has ever come out of his mouth.

I started laughing then. "What's so funny?" He asks, smiling.

"You. That's the smartest thing that I've heard you say."

"Thanks a lot. I am in your set for everything so how does that work?"

"Well...it just does." I say, still laughing. After a moment of hesitation, Evan starts laughing too. He laces his fingers with mine as we walk through the woods and across the field. "I'm scared, Evan." I say eventually.

"Don't be. They're your best friends. If anyone would understand anything you said or did, it's them...and me." Evan leans in and kisses my cheek. I look up at the school and then consider how much trouble I'm in for my attendance. Skiving lessons isn't exactly my speciality.

"Aria! Wait please." Madison shouts. I consider backing out and running away but Evan's grip suddenly becomes firmer as he beckons me to go over. "I'm so so sorry Madison." I say as she runs over. Tears flow down my face uncontrollably as she envelopes me in a hug. "It's been so hard for me. I really don't know how to explain." I try and say between sobs.

"You don't need to explain, babes. I've known how you have felt this whole time and I'm so sorry I didn't try and help you. I'm your best friend and I should've known you'd bottle it up until this happened. Is there any chance you could forgive me?"

"Can you forgive me?"

"Well seeing as you don't need forgiving, can we just put this in the past and move on. But we all have to solemnly swear never to mention this drama ever again! No matter how much we hate each other."

"Done." I say, laughing.

"Good, now dry those eyes. We are actually going to attend a lesson...even if we are about half an hour late."

We all start laughing and it feels Good. I have a feeling though that this isn't the end of everything. It seems too good to be true...

A/N:

I just wanted to say I hope you are enjoying this book and thank you so so much for 200+ reads. You guys honestly have no idea how much it means to me. I have a new book coming out (probably after this part is published) called The Untold Truth and I hope you give it as much love as all of my other books.

Before any of you start thinking I'm gonna ditch this book. I'm not, school starts again for me next week so I won't be able to post as often but I'm not finishing this book just yet so don't go anywhere.

Lots of love,
- jesselxx ❤️
