Madison has really taken a fancy to the new boy. He sits next to me in form and I have to admit...he is quite fit (sorry Evan). All the girls in our form can not take their eyes off of him! So far, he hasn't actually said very much and he isn't talking to any of the boys. Despite their best efforts to try and make him.
"Your name's Aria Carpenter right?" He asks suddenly.
I smiled and nodded timidly, I told him how I only joined in February so I am kind of new here so I know the feeling. He seemed sort of relieved and I just laughed slightly whilst glancing at Mads and Evan. They both didn't seem very please, well...nothings changed there then.
"Phew, I seem to get all the girls attention but the lads won't glance at me. They probably think I'm cocky, I'm not! So, tell me something about yourself!"
"Woah, way to blow your own trumpet! The boys in our year are mainly idiots but the ones who I'm friends with aren't...obviously otherwise I wouldn't be friends with them. And from what I'm seeing, I think that's their way of trying to be friends with you or something." Kyle laughed slightly, he does seem quite nice. "Anyway, I'm friends with the girls in that corner: Madison, Kitty, Eva, Kenzie and Izzy. My boyfriend is Evan, and I'm kind of friends with Eva's boyfriend Nate, Grace's boyfriend Jake and Kenzie's new boyfriend, Harry...who is also my next door neighbour, and Izzy's sort of boyfriend or friend boy , Cal."
"Wait...what's a friend boy?!"
"Ahah, don't ask!"
Before I could carry on, I could feel Evan's eyes on the back of my head as he clasped my hand. Madison and the girls were laughing and staring...well Mads was bright red as well. I just rolled my eyes and laughed. I turned around to kiss Evan to convince him it's ok! Soon after the bell went for first period. I had to go to the student support centre as me and some others were told we had some mentor to help us pick our GSCE options. I don't know if that's good or not to be honest.
It may not be very helpful because we've already picked our options so I'm slightly confused regarding that. I'm doing nine GCSE's. Everyone has to do: Maths, English literature, English language, and Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It's know as double or tripe Science here depending on the exam. Double is two papers and triple is three. I'm doing double science.
The four options I chose were; Media Studies, French, History and Art, Craft & Design. I'm just now hoping the work isn't impossible and I can at least scrape a 7 or 8. That's the new mark scheme. I think it's equivalent to an A/A*.
"Hey Aria...would I be allowed to hang out with you at break?" Kyle asked before we left.
"Of course, Eva and the girls looked after me so I will do the same. Even if you are a boy!" I winked at him as he laughed and I ran to student support. As I was about to walk in I could feel a hand tapping me on the shoulder. I spun around to see Madison standing kinda nervously in front of me.
"Soo, I can tell you're kinda friends with Kyle...I was basically wondering if you would,"
"Of course! I know what you're gonna say hun. I'll be at Science in around 15 mins so we will talk then, ok?"
Mads nodded then strolled off, clearly triumphant. Again, I rolled my eyes. One day into the new term and there is already boy drama! My new mentor seems quite nice anyway and just told me basics about our options. I tried to listen but it was extremely boring.
Half an hour! That thing took half an hour! It was supposed to be five minutes. I sprinted to Science and collapsed on my stool. Miss Sett marched over to me, with a slip in her hand...not good!
